Tracking someone from an email

Friend got an email, from someone who is suppose to be in france, but for some reason they don't trust him to be in France, and they kinda wanna know where they are.

Problem is the sender Email is @yahoo.fr

I inspected the source email and was able to get these 2 ip adresses

77.238.189.57
212.82.109.252

Both Answer to Yahoo Europe (Ireland)

But that's probably that when the user sends the email it sends them from the yahoo server and not the PC, so those IP would be the yahoo servers right?

Anyway to maybe track the city of the email sender?

No friend who is suppose to Benin vacation in France ( take time of work) but they suspect that this person is in the same city as them and they wanna try to find him

You're getting yahoo's ips and not his. The easiest way to find out for a sixpack Joe is: If you have a livejournal you can append a tracker such as mixmap, and it will show you the person's global location. It's pretty accurate for the most part. The only thing you have to do is convince them to click the link and hope he doesn't have noscript enabled.

I remember a site once that you send a link to someone and if that person click the link it will send you his IP address
