Had a SAM try their ability against them and he said the effect didn't land, so Umbril aren't demon or arcana.

We tried PLD, DRK, and DRG (might as well since they were there, right?) and no go on any of em.

I wouldn't say it's completely immune before the break. I've gotten immunobreak message silencing Ahriman and Flan, and I know for a fact I can/have landed silence w/o the message appearing first. (I remember silencing Ahriman and shit back in 75cap too, when silencing a Smolenkos in a Uleguerand Range XP PT was some sort of badge of honour)

It's possible Elemental Seal and/or magic accuracy on the whole has changed since 75 cap though

I thought Elemental Seal used to make you land a spell 100% back in 75 cap too. I know for a fact if that was the case, they've changed it since. Was doing one of the PW BC last night and an extremely vulnerable paralyze came up so I popped ES and tried it, only to get resisted, not 15 seconds later our COR/RDM managed to land it. So, the mob wasn't completely immune and ES didn't make a 100% land rate when used. It makes me wonder if ES caps your MACC but there is still a 5% resist rate floor that even ES can't bypass. They also may broke ES with either the immunobreak stuff or when they introduced the magic evasion stat.

That example doesn't disprove what I said though. Just because immunobreak can work on things that otherwise aren't immune doesn't mean it can't break thru a soft immunity. Ie all dogs are animals not all animals are dogs. As far as changes perhaps or at least when they added immunobreak but my example was with 99s. Specifically comparing a good rdm to a 95blm/brd with no gear who hasn't skilled past 10 lol. I suppose I might try some testing though again. That said I'd like to see a non immunobreak sleep land. My thinking is there might be mobs with basically infinite resist rate and some with 100% that ingnores macc but maybe some things like immunobreak or maybe -mevv stuff that just adds directly to land rate

No reason why not. You just can't have 2 of the same name rare item. Now if you had an open trial for it that would probably impede your ability to progress further along the trial until you cancel it

Can anyone think of some NMs that are super spammy with physical tp moves? My first thought was sky nms, despot/faust/ulli, but I'd rather not get GM'd/piss ppl off by holding a valued NM. Know any worthless spammy NMs?

You mean Puks? I think all of their TP moves are magical? Ironclads would probably be the easiest test subject if foil does work on them.

Windshear is physical. The other wind one is a breath atk I think. But they spam zephyr and obfuscate so damn much, I rarely saw a wind shear. And yes, I tried puks first thing. XD

A lot of the NM's in the Nov 09 patch came with exuberant amounts of StoreTP, and would almost spam TP moves at 25%. Find one from that batch perhaps?

Yeah, but sisyphus is spammy with the breaks(thunder break, etc.) I need physical. Don't have time atm, but I'll try on an ironclad or something later.
