Anyone able to give me a quick breakdown of Voidwatch? I did only my 2nd group for it last night.
I have Atmacite of the Valiant from Ig-alima, but only one atmacite slot. I'm upgrading this atmacite as it seems like a solid one (I'm on THF), what's the best way to get a 2nd/3rd slot working just with pugs? Should I try to find a static group for it?
I assume I should purchase all the KI's from the voidwatch NPC's so I can get the hints for triggers, right? How exactly does the trigger system work? Similar to dynamis in that it can be "any" JA or spell, but it's of a certain job and/or weapon type?
And drops, how do they work? Groups typically do 6 runs at a time from what I see. Do you get one set of drops per voidstone you have on you? So if I have 3 voidstones basically I have to throw away 3 sets of drops?
Standard subjob for THF on them? Variable depending on fight? My alliance last night had no DNC or /DNC, so I went thf/dnc for it and it seemed to work fine. But I feel a lot weaker than other people there, is that an atmacite thing or are there triggers that boost damage? My Mercy Strokes are on-par with everyone elses ws's early in the fight and then they're doubling my damage later in the fight...
Anyway, thanks!
How do I add seekers to my registry w/o the disk/installing? I have all the update files and stuff I think from the server, but don't have an instillation for the game itself
Anyone knows which the .dat is for Fulgurante and Hatzoaar Sword is?
Hard to get a static, or LS wanting to do a full run of lower paths. Better off just shouting your own tier climb or joining a pug that has the paths you need that you're eligible to upgrade on.
Second atmacite KI is from T3 Jeuno, which requires you to complete T1-4 of all three home nations first, to then to T1-3 Jeuno and beyond. Third atmacite is from Provenance Watcher, which has the pre-requisite of having T6 Jeuno completed. (Zilart/CoP/ToA paths not needed)
You should purchase everything that isn't the 300k petrifacts. There's multiple hint KIs, and they all stack.I assume I should purchase all the KI's from the voidwatch NPC's so I can get the hints for triggers, right? How exactly does the trigger system work? Trigger system works in that any WS/JA(either or, they're combined as far as the hints are concerned) will give chance of a WS/JA related hint, and any magic will give a magic hint.
With all hint KIs, you'll basically know which series of JA/WS or elemental spells on a per-job basis to call out.
The full chart of procs can be found on the wiki, as well as explaining the !!s and what not - https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Voidwatch_Weaknesses
You'll want a lot of the periapt KIs from NMs, which is a guaranteed drop if you get 100% white lights during the fight, which is stupid easy to get these days with blitzing NM during stagger. Ones to get are all the ones involving temporary items (since they get restored upon a stagger), the ones that increase # of stones you can hold at once (start with 3, max of 6), the ones that give 25% red light bonus
If you have a voidstone when the fight is initiated, you'll be eligible for loot after death. What you get from the chest is indepedent of what everyone else gets. There are varying 'lights' you can build up during the fight to adjust what you get from the chest. And drops, how do they work? Groups typically do 6 runs at a time from what I see. Do you get one set of drops per voidstone you have on you? So if I have 3 voidstones basically I have to throw away 3 sets of drops?
WS/JA triggers build up blue, which adds another item drop for every 100% there is total. Red is from magic, which increases potential quality of the drops (which is what every group aims to cap for higher chance of ra/ex gear). Yellow/green are from whatever and increase XP/Cruor received, but no one cares about that since they cap very easily with a blitz.
People tend to ignore blue on the basis you only ever get one ra/ex items max from the treasure and that the ra/ex item is always at the top of the treasure pool, but there's no way to confirm if slot 1 is what ra/ex can drop in, or that the game just auto-sorts it to the top. You'll want to trade 3 rubicund cells at any rate for every fight that drops something you want, since it'll boost red lights by 150% on top of the 350% cap you can get during the fight itself.
DNC or NIN for triggers if a main isn't present. Otherwise, bring what boosts your dmg output.Standard subjob for THF on them? Variable depending on fight? BGwiki's Voidwatch page should have all the info you need handy, and for conveniance, Spira's Voidwatch charts are handy for quick tier/rift info.
If there's a NIN missing, bring NIN, otherwise DNC for JAs (if, for some reason, you need to proc DNC JA's) or WAR for damage, really. The reason your damage may be falling behind is because everyone else is riding the crap out of temporary items similar to the ones in Abyssea (barring brews, no such things here). Once you unlock those, which you can get doing Zilart, CoP and Aht Urghan (for respective periapts), you should see yourself falling back into gear with the rest of the group. The rest was answered, so no need repeating.
Depends on your server. I generally just sub war for damage since there's always at least one dude subbing dnc for no good reason in the alliance anyway.(my server seems to go with 1 blu as /dnc and the other as /pld so it's also a nonissue for me as to what sj to do normally)
I personally say default to /war once you have decent KI/temps since the one stuck /dnc should be whatever idiot is a complete gimp yet somehow not kicked from the alliance yet.
Is there any reason for me to NOT bother getting a hagnea stone?
Raptors are crashing my game. Freezing it so bad, I end up having to hold down power, because if I try to restart laptop, it just completely freezes. Cannot even Task Manager close it down. Is there another place to run file check besides that first spot in POL?
E: Derp, found the menu to change where it scans files at.
E2: Not sure what's going on, fixed files, problem still exists. Only for Raptor mobs though, about 9-12 on screen and kaput. Then I went and pulled about 15+ little ball mobs in Ule and nothing. Graphics card maybe?
How easy are the ANNM fights now? Got a ton of allied notes to chuck at attempts for +10 summoning skill on mythic pole from the fight in Meriphataud.
Been out for a while, and I scanned through the Colonization thread real fast, but most stuff is on the new NMs (and didn't want to cluster the thread with a stupid question)..
What is the fastest way to get bayld? Currently I'm doing 3x tag lair reives in Ceizak and then the colonization reives when I can. I feel like it's still slow though.
I'm on BLU or SCH or WHM if it makes a difference, thanks.
BLU will probably net you more, but the tag quests for Lair reives are pretty much unrewarding, I think if you're going to go for a reive imprimatur assignment, go with ceizak clear the way, it's 1800 per 3 tags, versus the lair ones. s:
Otherwise, just spam colonization reives for bayld.
Mummers has the most bayld by far. use those for tags and spam reive.
I believe the lair reive tags are also 1800/3 tags unless I am missing something? Thanks
I'll check it out, thanks.
Also.. what is the best zone to do colonization reives in once my tags run out? I heard something about the caverns being the best baylds/hr, but not sure.
Scouts probably has the fastest baldy/time/gils I think so might be better if you can reive decently
What sort of training should i do for synergy? I just got "feed fewell" to lvl 5, what is the best skills to level up? (i'm level 46 synergy, but plan on getting 80 pretty quick.)
Depends. Feed is definitely best. Some people like thwack since if you lvl it you got a good chance but personally I find it much easier to just prevent explosions from even starting. So Safety Lever is great for that. Not sure if lowering pressure really accomplishes anything other than make make the explosions not as bad but again who cares if you don't explode. Repair is super awesome for harder ones that you solo. Or really even if not solo. I often find it better even with others with capped skill in pt to just do it myself then group effort unless I direct them exactly what to do. Recycle is garbage
I'm looking to ressurect my PLD for SoA. I left at 90 cap and came back a couple months ago to EMP+2, Seigneur Shield, PDT Shamshir (90), Twilight Stuff, and a few random DT Gears.
I'm working towards an Aegis but I don't know what else to aim for. What's necessity? What are some more immediate concerns or quick fixes? Band-aid gear until I can get the good stuff?
I've never done salvage at all, but I know you have to have 3 people to enter (and I know about the d/c trick) but if I enter 3 characters can I leave 1 or 2 of them at the entrance and never have to move them? Is there shit to do like clicking lamps to go up floors or anything retarded like that which requires all 3 characters?
To clarify i'm thinking of making a 3rd character and prob leaving him naked so i dont have to waste money gearing him.
you can indeed. some things require multiple characters (full cell unlock for 3 characters on Zhayolm), and some bosses require multiple characters (Zhayolm Boss). but your other characters will floor up with you. Some NMs will givey ou trouble solo (FL3 Poroggo NM, nix BST due to charm and some heavy damage. also death.)
granted, even solo, some runs will put you low on time.
