Looking at the list again, the Corsair one makes me wonder, seriously wonder.
Also LOL at the typo on the Valoredge 2hr. "Invisible". Finally my pet can become invisible with me when I use Spectral Jig! Altough only once every 60 minutes but hey! Can't have everything, can you?!

Dunno, sounds like a superversion of Aura Steal.
I guess you'll like it if you like Aura Steal.
I always found aurasteal a pretty klunky and pointless game mechanic, but I'm not a THF myself, do you long time THFs like it or not?

Aurasteal is pretty nice and stealing 2hrs could be nice but a lot of 2hrs would be pointless on someone who isn't that job and some just work different on mobs ie act as instant effect onry therefore can't be stolen. Suppose it might be nice to steal pw's astral flow if possible

Like the only *real* use out of aura steal is certain effects like the super berserk or cerb blaze spikes, y'know?
Maybe a stoneskin sometimes? Idk, anyway other than those super buffs (which you may not even actually grab, because you grab some other stupid effect) there's no other point to aura steal and it just

That's just as much of a slap to the face as when they came out with despoil.

Its one of those situational fun utilities...atleast its not a kick in the scrotum like fucking footwork or Temper or Sange, or the fact NO MOBS in SoA have anything to steal/despoil from.

Despoil isnt exactly a bad JA...it just was poorly thought out. If I remember, you could despoil Poroggo Hats off the Squibs in Abyssea-LaTheine. Problem is, it would also inflect MAB down...they dont cast spells -.- And you cant despoil shit from NM's either.

I really like aura steal with the relic +2 hat. Stealing and absorbing 2 buffs is really nice sometimes when solo.

Yeah aurasteal is fairly situational but certainly better to merit the ambush or AC. Plus even mediocre buffs are still better than nothing. Though I like it for steal undispelable stuff

I actually enjoyed AC because it's a nice damage boost for Exenterator, and because I honestly don't use steal at all, I'm pretty sure. Maybe when I get more useful gear I'll switch up my merits, but eh.

I feel it's more useful at 5 minutes than it used to be at 15.

RDM SP2 is easily the worst of the batch. Elemental Seal -1 on a one hour cooldown, specific to shit that can still be outright resisted anyway.

AC is an incredibly mediocre damage increase. Under high haste situations, I believe it actually penalizes you most of the time. You should never have more than 1 if any in AC. Also @Dynamis coin thing, DCs do drop slightly more coins, but have the same proc rate and more HP. The main benefit of doing DCs usually is avoiding competition.

All THF's group 2 merits suck. I forget to use AC 90% of the time it's up mostly because it doesn't add much to anything besides like SA+AC Mandalic Stab or something. I don't think I've ever seen a quad proc on it when I had it 5/5. The TH proc rate on Feint isn't noticeable at 5/5 so that's mostly useless too. Ambush is pointless. So yeah, no reason not to have Aura Steal at least 1/5.

Another option would be to find a secure, anonymous proxy server somewhere in the us, eu, or jp. or use tor and hope you get lucky with the exit ip of the tunnel, or spoof your ip, but the latter may be more difficult with uRPF becoming more and more prevalent.
