I'm too scared to use jaw0 or I'd totally do, makes a huge difference especially on jobs like DNC and SCH.
Of all the jobs I've done dyna with, BST is clearly the easiest to do TEs with, there's not even a comparison with others. Not just for the utility fo Widescan (I hardly ever even used it) but because of how pets work, you can engaqge them while remaining sneak/invisible and can overall even sacrifice them if you want.
I assume especially after the att/def cap changes (statues hit much harder on players) that stones are nastyer to solo, especially the DC one. But I guess that's not your case since you have a mule and can Prot5 urself.

Still, it's not just the issue of pulling (sometimes you can't do anything but wait a little for stuff to move around) but rather the competition with other players.
I lost count of how many times I ended up in a situation like:
1) I find a TE, it's in the most goddamn lost corner of the map (Quad, close to secret beach), but I try goin towards there. I almost reach it and zaaam! Someone else killed it or is killing it
2) Ok, I wait for the next pop, it's at orcs! Ok! Let's go there! I get there and it's dead.
3) Rinse and repeat
Luckily it didn't happen that often to me in the end, but when it does it makes you wish to just use an instant warp scroll and log for the night >_>


144 seems a bit low but if it's one of your first runs I'm sure you'll get up to 200 in no time

You can use the book to get protect/shell at least for the first 30 minutes while in dynamis. I do that and a regen buff personally.

Can anyone point me to a download link for all EU version files? I couldn't see one in the PC updates thread. I'll probably be going through steam and don't want to wait for shitty POL to get its act together. Apologies i'f i'm missing a really obviously placed sticky.

Ona more thing about new sp2
BLU one:
Allows unlimited casting of blue magic spells that use Unbridled Learning.
Additionally, Unbridled Learning will have no recast time.

Its some poor translation? Because for me 2nd part means exactly the same as 1st?
Unless this somehow means that spell that falls under UL will have 0 recast time?

It will let you use as many Unbridled Learning spells as you want/can during the duration of the SP2 in addition to setting their recast times to 0. Despite UL spells being on a forced 5m timer, they still have recasts like any other spell normally.

The Devs confirmed awhile back that the new SP2s would not share the same recast and as a result needed more adjustment to reflect that. Granted its something they could change but the last we heard of the new SP JAs was that they would not share the 1 hour recast because they wanted people to actually consider using them without having to weigh them against current 1-hour JAs.

Bloodrake spam with Azure will be quite powerful. Especially when you can Harden shell, Bstorm before and even keep terrorize on. Wiping xx mobs at once at lets say Skyrmish would be pretty easy too with Thunderbolt > GoH > Thunderbolt etc.

Using standard macros, does anyone know if there is a way to equip 2 x Astolfo on BST/DNC or NIN? Since SoA I've updated my charm macros, but want a macro to switch back to axes, but can't seem to get it to work. Current Macro is designed for both /WHM or /DNC

How long in general does it take to get enough "conquest points" (forgot the name) for the new gear, and with MNK SAM DNC and WAR at 99, which pieces are worth getting?

For dnc specifically, are the hands any good? Don't have any decent ws hands for the job and was looking at getting Thaumas, but if I don't have to do NNI, then that'd be awesome

In light of the recent changes to attack/defense, would it be now worth it to have more Protectra V merits + WHM AF2+2 augmented feet? I was just curious if anyone had tested this and discovered any noticeable difference in defense, or if the consensus is still lolprot5.
