While under Azure Lore, will Benthic Typhoon > Amorphic Spikes create a darkness skillchain? I was just shy of killing the Moogle boss with Typhoon > Quad. Continuum and wiped because I was dumb and didn't have any spells set in case my skillchain didn't kill him.

Better general 2hand job in sam vs war?

Both geared with af3+2 and phorcys set, no emps/relics on either. I can keep both geared, but with SSpiral on mnk main working towards spharai/skirmish wep and Exenterator for dnc for dyna farming; I'm pretty much stuck with the choice between Shoha and Upheaval (or getting both but sticking with evisceration/dancing edge for dyna; how much of a dmg loss would that be by the way?)

Edit and between the two jobs, which pieces of Kareiyh to pick up? Legs are an obvious option; kinda hesitant on the head though since it has no attack on it, etc.

If you aren't willing to invest in a proper weapon for those jobs then do Drk with Crobaci.

If you are intent on not doing drk for some reason then sam.

Don't even have drk unlocked, lol and would have no problem doing emps, but they'd be 90 and it seems those are easily enough beaten (and enough of an investment to do one thing to 99 as it is, and that'll be spharai)

No. Like no spells at all not even for stats? That's how I killed it and was a bit overkill

I had spells, just not spells in preparation for all the moogles popping up after darkness skillchain didn't finish him. I ended up saying screw it anyways. My chain affinity didn't fire off for some reason (on my latest attempt) and by the time I got it off it was too late to close the chain. So, whatever. Done wasting my time getting that bonanza ticket to do the fight.

Right now, on anything sub-Ig-Alima level not inside Abyssea, Hatzoaar with Resolution at your gear level (which sounds like my gear level or just above it) will surpass Upheaval/RR/etc. with any non-R/E/M/Skirmish great axe (Dies Irae, Nohkux Axe). I use both WAR and SAM for various things, and if the fight's going to be under a minute long or requires a lot of burst/SC damage, I bring SAM (Tomonari, 5/5 Shoha, worse gear than my WAR). I'll also use SAM when soloing certain things or low-manning in no-/low-buff situations. For everything else, I use WAR. I picked up 4/5 Karieyh, skipping the hands for now, but I'll get them when I do events that would require the acc more regularly. Legs/feet are great WS pieces with feet in particular being best-in-slot for a lot of stuff; body is a good TP piece for WAR if you don't need that much acc/store TP and a decent WS piece. Head is a good 6% haste piece but I find myself using Phorcys instead because it works better with the store TP/7% with my gearsets, and it's probably not worth the bayld investment when you can save up for Quauhpilli Helm attempts instead.

Since if you're just spamming VW shouts all it takes is being able to WS at 100% TP to destroy everyone on DPS, I would recommend focusing on whichever will allow you to gear your main most efficiently, but you don't need Upheaval/Resolution in Abyssea for WAR.

Does anyone know if a plugin called "Hidemodels" still exists somewhere? Back in ground HNM days, someone in my LS sent a link of it to me and it hid all character models etc (except my own I believe) to reduce lag in Dragon's Aery and other crowded areas.

If not.. is there something equivalent that exists nowadays? I am trying to do reives on my shitty college internet and Garudas everywhere are making me d/c from lag. I'm assuming there might be some way to use .dat swaps to do something similar.. Any help is appreciated

Need to get Celaeno title for alt (has done zero VW). Main only has Indigo III. Can Baneberry, Moira, and then Celaeno be dual-boxed with void clusters? If so, how many would likely be needed for each mob? Do the clusters only lower stats, or do they also remove things like Death spell/Extremely Bad Breath?

Main has PLD/BST/SAM/DRG/BLU/MNK/NIN/THF/BLM/WHM. Alt has RDM/SCH/BLM/WHM/BRD.

Can do them all without clusters, your best DD + whm/blm. Stun death/ebb/tainting breath (all have decent charge up times). Celaeno you may require clusters depending on gear/temp items available.

clusters are level -5 I believe. those were easy 6 man with just initial fana/fools or PD, so 2-box prob np.

We do Apoc DRK, SCH and BRD/THF and it's a joke to clear. Use a hybrid set on HQ hydra if you feel more comfortable that way but it isn't required. Stun pyric bulwark to make your NQ/HQ boss fights go faster.

Why does bgwiki make no mention of trading Necropsyche for obtaining relic weapons, like for example on the Aegis (level 75) and Ragnarok (level 75) pages? This delayed the completion of another person's relic, after I loaned him 30 Montiont Silverpieces, since bgwiki made no mention of the Necropsyche on the Ragnarok page. Now we have to wait until tomorrow before he can go into Xarcabard for a Necropsyche.
