Considering MNK is arguably the best DD by a bit, I can't imagine why you wouldn't want AT LEAST 1/5 shijin. You do realize the advantages of a dex wsc/general consistency make it a better ws than Asuran? That being said, I guess it is safe to assume a high level of buffs for most new content so perhaps acc won't be such a game changer for lower-tier geared players. Still though, I think it's silly not to at least put one merit into a ws on a job that is INCREDIBLY handy atm.

Have the creators of the FFXIAH shout function made any indications on whether they're working on making shouts and yells from Western/Eastern Adoulin visible? Almost all of the Delve and Naakual shouts come from there on my server, which makes me reluctant to spend a lot of time out in the field.

I'm really not seeing that. Aphotic+Str Thokcha is showing up about 33% ahead of Aphotic single-wielded on thf. And on dnc, Aphotic+Pugi is 50% ahead of single-wielding.

Ah, though that was without Marches. With double +3 Marches, single Aphotic is slightly below DW for dnc; with double +4 Marches it's slightly ahead, and gains a bit more with double +5 Marches. On thf, though, +5 Marches still doesn't beat dual-wielding.

So if you're getting Gjallar Marches on dnc, it's better to single-wield. Otherwise, dual-wielding is still better.

On the order of offhands, I'm seeing something like:

Dnc: Pugi > Fire Thokcha = Tzustes +1 > Tzustes > Prax DA > Auric > Twilight > Prax OAT
Thf: Pugi > Fire Thokcha = Tzustes +1 > Twilight > Tzustes > Prax DA > Auric > Prax OAT

Hmm... It looks like Fencer on the spreadsheet is not implemented independently. Both sets get Fencer if you single wield in the first set and neither get it if you don't.

But yeah, with an RCB, double G-horn Marches and Chaos (25%)/Fighter's (15%) against a level 100 Chapuli with 5% Defense Down (one step) - aka Delve conditions from yesterday:

Fully augmented Aphotic (PathA) / Twashtar 99 using Exenterator pulls 740.918 DPS (2975 damage WSs)
Aphotic (PathA)/STR Thokcha using Exenterator pulls 714.913 DPS (3061 damage WSs)

Same TP gear/conditions, Single Wielding Aphotic/Airy Buckler gives 719.481 DPS (2555 damage WSs)
Single wielding and using Evisceration gives 721.3 DPS (2527 damage WSs)

So yeah, it does lose by a little even with capped magic Haste, but it doesn't lose to the common options (Aluh, STR Thokcha). As you drop towards solo conditions, it loses much more. Looks like Dual Wield is too good to give up.

Edit: Just as trivia, going Aphotic/Aphotic would be 812 DPS (10% better than Aphotic/Twashtar 99).

Shouts that read "Server.Character[???]" are from Adoulin. East or West, both.

This data depends on people being in the actual zones, so it might not always be consistent.

I'm pretty sure it involves someone using the guildwork plugin to report the shouts to the server. If your server is only showing jeuno, then blame your server for not using the plugin.

Anyway, does sushi have a cap to the acc it gives, like pizza? It seems to be making a LOT less difference than one would expect with ~+90 acc. For example, if I'm almost capped on acc, and it wears, i don't see nearly 45% reduction in hit rate.

I could be just totally mistaken, but it it seems like it gives a lot less acc.

This is a huge necro bump so I apologize ahead of time. I'd like to know if their is a way to remove battle music being triggered completely. Removing the DATs causes their to be no music when battle music is triggered. I'd like to set up the game so that when I go into battle mode, it doesn't even pause the zone's music.

Is their any way for me to disable whatever is triggering battle music? I'd love the background music for the zone to just continue playing uninterrupted while I'm fighting.

I've got over 600 accuracy before sushi, and i'm not capped on the Ladybugs unless I have another accuracy buff up. When sushi goes down, my accuracy still seems to be no worse than ~60% on ladybugs, when i'd expect it to be an almost complete whiff-fest without.

Is that a full delve run acc parse or are you taking out the times where they get super evasions buffed?

Black belt no longer a necessity depending on your gear. As for af3, you'll probably want head body legs and feet in general. May not need feet if have usu+1 shoes

You can get enough haste in gear to use other belts, so no you don't really need one
