Awesome, thanks.
Awesome, thanks.
I was wondering about WS options for my loldnc and my ddbrd.
Unless there's an error in Motenten's spreadsheet (maybe he's applying the 30% ws bonus even when I don't equip a carnwenhann?) Mordant Rime is on par/better than Exenterator 5/5, usually better.
At least with my ws set, which is not optimal for either WS.
Rudra's Storm does worse than both.
On DNC instead I'm getting Exenterator >>> Pyrrhic Kleos > Rudra's Storm
But what surprised me most is that with the new weapons (skirmish, delve or hq nakuuals, sadly BRD can't equip the delve one... sigh) Evisceration pulls ahead A LOT above 5/5 Exenterator.
In light of this I should probably say goodbye to Exenterator and get another WS? Or at least leave it at 1/5... but what for?
Instead it might be worth to unlock Rudra's Storm for double Darkness on DNC. Pyrric > Evis (dark) > Rudra (double dark). Or not worth it?
Evis competes, but unless you are getting Rogue's roll or have a terrible build, exebt is still better at the moment.
How long til delve drop/NM data is shown on ffxidb
If I don't care about the momentum scores and bonuses on the Reive addon for Windower, can I just delete the <bonus>, <score>, and <track> tags to have it only keep my XP/Bayld?
What would cause a wyvern to take reduced damage from 1000 needles? Lvl 87, me and my NPC took 333, but wyvern took 200. 1k needles from mobs considered breath damage and pet has some defense or something? I was wearing dusk and perle at the time, nothing drg specific.
Do you guys think that using Imprimaturs on a maxed coalition will be saved? As in will they already count when they release more ranks?
Under what conditions are you checking?Originally Posted by Sechs
I have (using the best weaponskill sets I can come up with; Rime seems to fall more quickly without the more difficult to obtain gear, since the 'normal' options aren't as good as the 'normal' Exenterator options):
Single wield /whm, vs lvl 100 Chapuli:
Tzustes+1/Genbu
Mordant Rime: 878
Exenterator 1/5: 931
Exenterator 5/5: 1024
Evisceration: 985
Dual wield /nin:
Tzustes+1/Fire Thokcha
Mordant Rime: 1146
Exenterator 1/5: 1228
Exenterator 5/5: 1353
Evisceration: 1183
Weaponskill sets I used:

(and actually, there are a couple small improvements I could make in there, but don't feel like going back and re-running the numbers)
This I do see. It has to do with the balance between weapon damage and WSC. Evisceration has a relatively weak WSC value (30% Dex) compared to Exenterator's 100% Agi at 5/5. With the gear sets I put in, Evis had a 41 WSC and Exen had a 105. With a base weapon damage of 51 (Tzustes+1), Evis's damage is about 60/40 (putting fStr on the weapon's side) in favor of the weapon, while vastly in favor of WSC on Exen's side.Originally Posted by Sechs
Change the weapon to Izhiikoh, with a base damage of 108, and the weapon dominates the damage for Evis, while being about evenly split for Exen. As a percentage, overall base damage increased by a greater amount for Evis than for Exen. In other words, Evisceration gains more quickly from increased base weapon damage than Exenterator does, and thus pulls ahead in final damage due to the weapon change.
With a gear set optimized for Evisceration, I end up with 1741 Evis vs 1431 Exen as /whm. Mordant Rime is at 1295.
Now, why doesn't Mordant Rime do the same? Well, with a 50% Chr/30% Dex WSC, it's actually a lot closer to Exen in terms of WSC weighting, with an overall 80% from stats vs Exen's 100% and Evis's 30%. Being more stat-based than weapon-based, its value remains relatively the same compared to Exenterator after the weapon change.
This is also influenced by brd's lack of access to the top Agi gear that thf and dnc have. With a higher WSC to compete against, it would be more difficult (though still possible) for Evisceration to regain the lead. Thf with Izhiikoh/Aphotic vs the same lvl 100 Chapuli hits 2235 Evis vs 2078 Exen on an unstacked weaponskill. Dancing Edge doesn't gain as much since it's, again, more stat-based than Evisceration (70% total vs Evis's 30%).
So, overall, weaponskills with low stat mods that are even moderately competitive with the high stat mod weaponskills that are currently in the lead will gain a lot more from higher base damage weapons, and may need to be re-evaluated.
Target was Chapuli (100), no buff aside from 3 songs (marchx2, minuet5).
Gear is pretty meh, maybe it's a bit better for Mordant but both my WS sets suck on BRD.
See below for the details I can remember about gearsets.
Tried with other targets as well (DC nightmare mob and Fodder) and I don't think the result changed. Exenterator was much closer on fodder, maybe it pulled ahead even, on fodder.
From my tests on live server a few months ago I was getting (eyeballing) better results on Exenterator, with the occasional spike on Mordant here and there.
Gearsets were the same I think.
Let's see if I remember, I have it saved in an XLS @ work

Yeah, saw that happening with Asuran Fists on MNK (altough it didn't get over Shijin Spiral, it got really really close, better on fodder iir)So, overall, weaponskills with low stat mods that are even moderately competitive with the high stat mod weaponskills that are currently in the lead will gain a lot more from higher base damage weapons, and may need to be re-evaluated.
i just can't remember, my 3 accounts are linked on my se account, do i have to buy multiple expansions, one for each? Or am I just being retarded and forgetting a step here.
You need to buy it for each seperate POL account.
Is there any better way to skill up enhancing magic skill or you just gotta cast the spells and there's nothing else to it?
Cast on highlevel NPC (fellowship, bastion, besieged) much faster than on other players
Has anyone augmented a Surefire Arquebus yet? Wiki has it as atk/acc/eva, but that seems asinine for a ranged weapon.
