How is accuracy in Delve? I haven't gotten much of a chance to play this month, but I saw the new 600~ eva mobs in the spreadsheets and heard mention of a 700~ eva mob. The 600 isn't too much of a problem (for DRG), but 700 requires sacrifices to cap accuracy. Have groups been effectively using -EVA abilities/do they get resisted? Feint, Frost, Impact, Gravity (5%), etc.?
How does /THF work?
Before wasting gils/plasm, which path is best for the Rigor? A or B? I was thinking B for acc and DEX for Shijin but with the upcoming unlock of VS I'm lost...
Thx for your help!
path B. for any delve content you want as much gear acc as possible.
Tbf imho it depends how "hardcore" you're gonna be with your jobs.
I assume a lot of people who do mainly pug plasm farming runs and have no ambition to kill the hardest bosses in these game or repeatedly farm NMs for beads should rather go Att path, it would surely be more beneficial for the rest of the content they might do with those jobs, instead of an accuracy they won't need.
But I agree for anybody playing "seriously" on high-end content it's undoubtely like you said.
Is it worth going back to NNI to get a few pieces for my SAM? I have 4/6 Delve KI and just recently picked up my new Great Katana I have all the KI for armor pieces the only ones I miss are for weapons I am not interested. Should I just stick it out and pick up Delve Pieces or should I try and make the effort and go to NNI to get a few Phorcy's (Head, Body, Hands) are what I was thinking.
Not sure about Phorcys Head and Legs (but where legs any good ever for SAM? Maybe for Seigan...), but Feet are still an excellent PDT option and Body+Hands still a really nice option for WS.
As mentioned above, it kinda also depends on the type of content you want to focus mainly. You might need more acc than Phorcys can provide for some content. Kinda depends what your options for other gearslots are atm.
I am at work at the moment, but it is pretty basic stuff, i'll list WS and TP as those are my priorities at the moment, and would like to try and push to get into some higher stuff as i only came back a 2-3 months ago and.
TP:
Ugu, Pole Grip(?) (2% Double Attack, ) Hagenia Stone
Kariehy Helm, Unkai Neck, Brutal, Unkai Earring
Unkai Domaru +2, Kariehy Gauntlets, Rajas, Tyrant
Misuuchi Kappa, Dynamic Belt, Unaki Pants +2, Ace's Leggings
WS:
Thew Bomblet
Kariehy Helm, Unkai Neck (Breeze Gorget wip), Brutal, (not sure on second earring)
Kariehy Body, Avant Gauntlets +1, Rajas Ring, Vulcan's Ring
Aethling Mantle, Dynamic Belt, Kariehy Legs, Kariehy Boots.
Sorry for the no items sets and dodgy names but hopefully you get the jist of what i'm working with at the moment. Most things at work are blocked, I am suprised BG isn't too.
Uhmm, I'm a bit in a haste now but looking quickly at what you posted you should re-check your STP values.
If I recall for 5-hit with Ugui you need kinda ~95 STP and you're far from that.
If you're going for 6-hit you need ~50STP and I think you're way above that. You might want to remove some of your STP options for TPing (neck, earring for sure, arguably Ranged and Back).
I mean, you have to make up your mind. Either you aim for 5hit and work for that, or accept 6hit build and then you can swap some of those pieces for better ones.
There's a new plasm-buyable neck for instance. Aspris or whatever it's called. (since I assume you might have a hard time getting a Ganesha's)
You could buy a Ghillie+1 ear with the money.
Also those 4% haste TP feet you can buy for plasm are a nice option to remove Ace's. What's their name, Mikinaak?
Kari body is pretty close to Phorcys I think, altough Pho body+hands should still be better for you, so honestly I'd work towards that if you have the chance.
If you want more acc you could go acc path on Mikinaak feet for instance.
Also consider swapping head for Achuka's or Mikinaak.
Once correctly augmented even Miki legs can provide better results than Kari legs, but I'd put those on lower priority compared to other slots.
That's all I can think of without taking out really hard to get stuff like HQ Tenryu etc
Thanks a lot for this, i literally got my weapon last night and went straight to bed so knew i needed to rework some of my store TP for the 6 hit since 5 is way out of range and from what i can see unviable due to accuracy being so important in new content? Think i will give NNI a go anyways but it is nice to know that the gear is not the be all and end all as it was before the expac.
It all depends what you consider "new content".
Don't need it for Reive and Skirmish for sure. For Plasm farming? Well you could need it on the Ceizak mobs especially when they use the eva up buff, but honestly you're gonna get Madrigal/Hunter's so you should be fine.
Now the NMs, especially some of them, are another story. Some are really evasive and if you plan on dedicating a wide % of your playtime on those then yes, accuracy is gonna be an issue.
If you don't, I wouldn't really be overly concerned about that tbh, altough that doesn't mean you can get along with "pfff acc" attitude either.
There is nothing you can do to overcome the acc debuff in Ceizak. Sushi on DNC with Mad there got me 76% hit rate. Meat on War my last time there got me 74% hit rate in a weak acc build.
I wouldn't buy Ghillie with how easy the DA earring set is to get. Here's what I have at the moment for my "ideal" ugu TP set with no math what so ever behind it:
http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/300376
Using black Tathlum as non-bow TP ammo. Switching to more STP if weapon skill generates less than 6 tp to always keep 5 melee hits to ws.
Some suggestions based on his set:
7% haste belt for sure. Get bullwhip. Buy the DA earring set. I'd probably drop kappa for Aethling or Let mantle too. Get a windbuffet for ws and possibly an ele belt if you need the acc on ws.
Just restarted playing after a 9 month break, and have decided to have a quasi fresh start on with BLU, since my old main NIN seems to have fallen by the wayside since Abyssea ended. What's a semi-decent cookie cutter TP build that I can get without needing Voidwatch or NNI as PUG shouts are few and far between these days, and I don't have any confidence that I'll be able to get a static group for NNI anytime soon. I'm planning to work towards Delve stuff as soon as I have a passable gear collection. Also anything of note that I'd need for spells would be a huge help too.
Thanks in advance!
Nice set thanks for the link to it, obviously some of it is way out of my reach (tenryu+1 and Phos Belt +1 I have no real way to make gil) Is Usukane +1 the only way to hit haste cap on a SAM, i have looked at a lot of gear but other than using the new haste belt or Phos +1 it only ever brings me to 24-25% leaving me 1-2% short.
I was a bit wary of Bullwhip Belt since my spellcast is only basic and even then it took me a few hours to setup, is there a way to switch it in and out if something is casting/readying a tp move?
Cheers again for the help
Nope.
Leaving Zelus Tiara out for obvious reasons, this expansion gave you several 7% haste head options, some of which are absolutely to your reach.
If you add those new 4% haste feet (Mikinaak) and then a 7% belt, you'll be at 26% haste, and 25% with a 6% if you don't want to equip Bullwhip (I assume other 7% haste belt are a bit too expensive for you, atm).
All of this keeping Unkai Haidate+2 up. Of course if you want to use other options you'd reach the 26% haste cap more easily, but I don't suggest it because you'd lose the additional 2,5% additional haste that you get from the AF3+2 pants (which, let me remind you, doesn't count towards the gear haste cap)
