    Not worth dropping. You drop the merits and you gimp the awesomeness that is AF2+2 hat augment.

    It was for blm. They need mab on a staff for sch is a little less. They get only 24 from traits instead of 40. Also, SCH nukes in obi and twilight cape at all times for the most part, so that is another -10. Also sch doesn't have sorcerer ring, so another -10 if using icesoul or -9 for galdr. We'll say galdr, so that is 158-10-10-16 = 122. (122+100)x.35 = 77. So you need 77 MAB on a sch staff to beat Magian staffs. That new staff has 70 mab and 18 int so it is very close. Especially if you consider 18 int is about 9 MAB in damage roughly. However, I don't now if any of these staffs is truly better for sch because of the iridiance bonus on chatoyant which is an additional 10% damage over everything that is forced proc with storms.

    This brings up another question. Twilight cape enahnces the weater bonuses by 5%, sooooo:
    Single weather + obi = 10%
    Single weather + obi + cape = 15%
    Single weather + obi + chatoyant staff = 20%
    Single weather + obi + cape + Chatoyant staff = 25% or 30%? (does it proc on both the initial weather proc and iridiance proc?)

    If it does proc on both.... then....
    Single weather + day+ obi + cape + chatoyant staff + zodiac ring= 48%

    Now brings up question 3. I thought there was a cap for the day and weather bonuses at 35%? I may be mistaken. If there is a cap does iridiance break the cap?

    Decent set up for cheap/quick Cor? have a near naked cor at lv 85, may as well finish it. Not looking to be a career cor, and a QD set would be nice, but not looking to be a big time Cor DD, etc; basically utility/support, with quickdraws and some damage, but nothing career worthy.

    Just want to have a bit more versatility instead of just melee only

    What sets do you have that give +158 mab without weapon that isn't in abyssea...? Also iridescences isn't 10% more exactly since diminishing gains and what not hence why magians usually beat it. As far a cap goes not sure. I know people thought there was a 35% cap and that cloak just bypassed it but awhile ago I tested that could go to 40% with blm legs too. Don't think I was able to hit 45% but can't remember right now


    Also your math is off single weather day iridescence ring and cloak is 38

    Cape is or not and have no idea what a twilight proc on iridescence is but it doesn't exist. Iridescence is it's own proc based on weather. As far as that set goes I wouldn't plan out what weapon to use based on that set... I mean a delve naakul drop and bunch of plasm for the base armors and like 200mil in airlixers lol. Chances are something better will exist by the time you get that

    Do you have thaumas set and AF3+2? You can probably do everything with thaumas/AF3+2/thurandaut if you want to be quick/cheap.

    If you have just QD in thaumas hat/ACP body/AF3+2 feet/AF3+2 hands/legs with w/e MAB/AGI gear you have in other slot. Ideally it's better to use only 2 AF3+2 for QD and MAB in hand/legs slot if you have them though. If you have gil grab forban cape, if not just use navarch back piece.

    Melee in thaumas 4/5 + haste head and spam steps/samba, if you need to shoot shoot in AF3+2 5/5 or 4/5 and thaumas feet. WS in Thaumas head/hands/legs/feet and thurandaut body(If you have WF, WF in Thurandaut hand/legs instead). Buy AGI ring x2 for WS, racc ring x2 for ranged TP.

    4/5 thaumas, sans hands. Thurandaut 4/5 sans legs. af3+2 I'd have to do from scratch but can tribox mnk + blm + whm, so shouldn't be too difficult.

    No wildfire though. Would pretty much have to lv my marksmanship from scratch

    If you have thf or rng can lvl really fast with xbow and since can buy coins for dirt cheap now can make coin gun fast

    If you really want to skip AF3+2 or want to use COR before AF3+2 done, get body and feet at least. Body for regain roll and feet for QD. If you don't have ACP QD body you can also QD in AF3+2 body.

    Edit: You can replace thaumas hands with thurandaut hands for TP/AGI based WS if you don't have anything else better. You can also skip Thurandaut legs if you have no WF.

    Given their statements about content lvl and outdating stuff I'd say maxing out anything is a waste unless you literally got billions with nothing to spend it on... and once they increase the dmg on r/e/m mythic going to be insane again. Personally though I'm holding into my cash mostly till I see what's up since they keep outdating. This expansion has made me a real tightwad lol. But still want to make a mythic especially once I can use empyrean ws with them

    First 2 ranks up are definitely worth it imo. They are pretty good upgrades for the cost. After that your mileage is going to vary as it's essentially +1 stat for whatever the rank up costs.
