They mirror 0.95.
They mirror 0.95.
They mirror 0.95 fTP.
Ah, thank you. Isn't the mirroring actually a detriment to stardiver, then? Adding a tp bonus earring to your set raises the FTP to .9734375 (it probably rounds somewhere?) which is still less than they would have been had the remaining attacks simply been 1 from the start.
Well if buffed enough/mob debuffed enough the att penalty wont matter. Stack full -def on a mob and att basically doesn't matter anymore lol
Thanks again, that's pretty interesting.
More questions about fTP! (Questions bolded because I drone!)
Stardiver has the following fTP values: 100% 0.75, 200% 0.84375.
When you equip the gorget/belt, these increase to: 100% 0.95, 200% 1.04375
If stardiver is performed at 101% TP, this adds 0.01*(1.04375-0.95)=0.0009375 to fTP. Does fTP round down at any point?
Even if fTP doesn't round down, weapon skill damage does: WS Damage=floor(( Weapon Base Damage + (Ammo Damage) + fSTR(2) + WSC ) * fTP)*pDIF
This implies that the additional fTP will go to waste unless [Weapon Base Damage + (Ammo Damage) + fSTR(2) + WSC] is larger than 1/0.0009375=1066.66.... which never realistically happens.
Is there any benefit to weapon skilling at 101% TP (or at 100.1%)? Motenten's spreadsheets show a slight increase in DOT anytime 1 point of STP is added, which seems to indicate that it would.
Moonshade Earring:
Occ. grants dmg. bonus based on TP +5%
What in the world is this ? I can see a few ways of interpreting this augment description, but I have no idea which is correct. Anyone know about this ?
So my play has reached casual at best. I pretty much only play on Fri/Sat night from about 8pm-2am. The only job I really care about gearing is BLM, I have most previous BLM gear (Excluding Meebles) but including MDMG & MACC staves and Morrigan's feet +1. I was planning on making Morrigan's robe +1 next but that looks pretty worthless now. In short, I haven't done much with SoA other than unlocking and getting crafting rings. If I only care about gearing BLM, what should I prioritize on my two nights of playtime per week?
I was thinking that earring augment would gain some traction on that infernal supernal chapuli..... I cannot stand that NM, wish there was a better way. Super situational gear I suppose.
Picked up Bokwus Robe and Gloves for SCH.
Other than maybe the -MDT on the pants, is there any reason to bother with the other peices?
So it's been awhile since I really pulled much but I noticed the hotkey for ranged attack isn't working? I checked and made sure it was on the one I was using. Even switched it up to different letters and nothing. Others like engage still working
Are you talking about the built in ones like alt + a for engage/disengage? 'cause the ranged one hasn't worked for years. I think it used to be alt + d. I don't know why it was taken out. I don't remember if I ever even used it back when it worked it's been that long.
Working here on vanilla FFXI and my PS2.
Wasn't sure whether to ask here or the "What's Better" thread. Of DRG or MNK+PUP, what gets better use of their base delve weapon, assuming typical AF3+2/NNI/VW gear, and no REM? Was originally going to get sword for BLU, but folks still seem to be of the mindset of "2hand-only(or mnk) or gtfo", which I don't entirely blame them for, so that's on the backburner until I get something more usable for Skirmish/Delve/Naakual when my RDM/SCH/SMN isn't needed.
So is the general consensus Dex Route > Str Route for SAM TP pieces with Delve equipment? I have seen different people do different things before I go deep into a route.
Do either Desultor Tassets or Anwig Salade have any use for BLU these days? I'm looking specifically at cure potency augments, as I don't see myself getting Nares legs anytime soon, but if there are any other uses then I'm all ears.
Edit: Brainfart, BLU can't equip Nares. However question still stands.
If you can get Chocaliztli Mask, that beats Anwig for cures. I think Orvail Corona beats it as well (or if it doesn't, its close enough to where it really doesn't matter). Desultors are still decent, although Magavan are about the same (maybe better) as well if you can get those. I would use Anwig for something else entirely (Pet PDT/Haste is probably the only thing that hasn't been outdated) and either use Desultors for Cure potency if you don't plan on getting Magavan and get PDT as the second augment or get PDT/haste and make them a hybrid PDT/melee piece.
