Is Lord Ruthven soloable on BST?
E: Found out for myself, easy solo. Only took a couple of biscuits with Falcorr.

Looking into it theres not a way i can see to even download it for xbox
Well this is great, bought the ult edition for pc, and now have to buy the cd for xbox -.-
I wonder about that.
In theory to apply TH to a mob you need to enter into his hate list.
Deploy used on a target should put the master into the hate list once the pet hits the target, so I guess this should make so TH gets applied to the target, I think?
Does Deploy add you to the hate list? I recall the one trick PUP has where you can deactivate an automaton after they make an action/nuke, before the mob can react and hit it, and the mob would just forget about you. Unless that's just an exploit in the emnity system.
Any mobs out there that are easy to test TH2 drop-rates on anyhow? Might be something I'll do when bored this week.
Can be tested by hitting a mob once with the automaton, then hit it with a THF of level 15-39 until you see the message of TH increase. If it increases to 2, pet doesn't apply TH. If it increases to 3, pet does.
Unless THFs can't increase TH levels if they start higher than what the can naturally apply.
I thought this got patched eons ago? Around level 80? I think I was doing WoE #8 or whatever it was (the Ylbegan-like one) when it was patched.
And it worked only on spells, didn't work on Melee hits and Ranged attacks.
Also it only worked if your automaton didn't get hit/damaged I think?
I can't remember the specifics. All I recall is abusing it on blm frame to get around Sea more easily back when that mattered. Might have gotten patched though, I didn't pay attention to Abyssea-era patch notes since I took a break from XI before Visions, and through Heroes.
Sea farming, good bullshit times........................Alternator makes me want to dust the job off and toy with it some.
When I look at any delve augments, they are all broken and not being displayed correctly. Has anyone else experienced this and found a way to fix it? I've done filecheck on POL, tried deleting every .dat from the april update and re-downloaded them through POL. Kinda annoying now not being able to see my own augments ; ; It doesn't seem to matter what level the augments are at.
They are broken on my char or any other char I look at. Any other augments from synergy or whatever are still ok.
Augments look like this:
Bereaver: Latent effect: "Refresh" +1, Wind Affinity: Magic Accuracy+31, Staff skill+2
Bloodbath axe: HP-98, MP+97, Thunder resist-1
Manubozho brais: HP+97
Few Geo questions: Geo-Precision and Fury include R.acc and R.atk respectively right?
Do you have to be on the job Geomancer to learn the spells from the Reservoirs?
Does the Gravity from them include the -evasion cuz it stats "weighs down and reduces movement speed". If so wouldnt grav and -eva be a better combo that way it helps the whole alliance and not just your party?
Whm legs are a must-have. Feet are ok if you have highly merited Protectra V.
Rdm body for enhancing skill, more fast cast, and longer 2hr. Hat for more refresh (2/tick) and longer Dia III/Slow II. Possibly hands if you use Phalanx II a lot.
Cor hat (roll duration), legs (chance to have a 0 recast on Snake Eye) and Feet (improve odds of high Wild Card rolls) are all worth getting.
Sch legs (2hr duration) and feet (stat bonus from Stormsurge) are worth getting. Head is a nice fast cast piece if you don't have Nares.
Can't really speak to smn. They are varyingly useful, depend on your overall gear set and how you use the job.
I didnt see anything from SMN AF2+2 stand out. If SE ever abolishes the BP delay cap, or adjusts it to account for the fact that there is no "spell BP delay" reduction or "JA BP delay" reduction possible and increases said cap to 30 seconds, I can see a strong case for upgrading all of the AF2+2.
Seeing as how most people use Astral Flow for Odin or Alex, auging head would be kinda useless.
Body doesnt seem worth auging, since the MP reduction takes place when the BP fires, and there are better bodies to use for merit BP's.
Hands dont seem worth auging, unless you use your smn enough and find yourself MBing merit BP's.
Leg may be worth auging, would give a good chunk of macc for merit BP's.
Unless theres a much stronger avatar MAB feet out there, I'd probably aug feet.
I wasnt looking at any comparable pieces making this list
Could anyone send me a link, or explain to me, exactly how much better delve weapons are compared to old ones (non R/E/M) and also to the R/E/M weapons? I'm sure there's info out there somewhere right under my nose, but I haven't seen it yet..
Zenith feet get 5 pet mab
PUP or DNC for all around secondary job in SoA (including Dynamis and such)? PUP supposedly got much better with the expansion, so should I gear that up over DNC? I'm returning from a long break and don't have top notch weapons on either, no 99 REM is sight.
Same situation as SMN's Assault perhaps? I recall assault being 1 CE if target has you on the list.
--------------
On another topic, anything specific I should know about MNK/DNC solo for Dynamis XP farming? With the double-xp event coming up, figured I'd make use of it to get the augments for Formless Strikes and increased 1hr duration since both go hand-in-hand with each other.
I'm still gearing the job up slowly, so I don't have any Evasion or Counter (if it's needed) builds, and I'm assuming not to use Counterstance due to the att/def changes, since I won't have Pro5 to help offset the extra damage I'll be taking. Drain Samba 2 and Curing Waltz 3 should be enough to keep me up on EPs?
Deploy does put you on the list if the automaton gets hit by the target or if he hits the target (melee/ranged).
Well, at least in theory.
The trick Kaisha referred too instead made so no enmity was generated at all, and if you used Deactivate before the pet was hit by the target, you weren't getting into the Target's enmity list.
Different thing if the puppet was hit/damaged.
I do remember this being patched in patch notes long time ago though, around level 80 because if I'm not wrong at the time I was using PUP against the dragon-guy in WoE #8 with my LS.
In light of these changes I think the command "Deploy" by itself doesn't immediately generate enmity and so put you in the target's enmity list, but you end up there anyway as a consequence of your automaton hitting and getting hit by the target AFTER you used the deploy command.
So yeah, I think we might be both right. You do not get in the list instantly as you use Deploy, but you end up in the target's list anyway after your deployed automaton performs an action on the target.
Hence for the initial question, it should not be necessary for you to perform direct actions on the target to apply the TH from /THF.
Of course this won't work for links, unless you tell your automaton to perform actions on them as well.
Are you gearing up MNK because you want to use it? Or because you think it's gonna be more efficient than PUP?
Because if it's the latter then think again, with the new changes/gear of SoA I think PUP will be more efficient than MNK for solofarming (I mean real solofarming, not dualboxing)
Remember that you can just go /THF for TH2-3 (which is more than a BST gets) and play on WS mobs even in crowded zones. You'll have all the mobs for yourself, and this alone usually is a huge difference towards the final amount of coins you get.
If you don't have a healing mules I'm particularly convinced you'd get better results on PUP than MNK.
(you can also play as PUP/DNC of course, but since you can go /THF, which you cannot on MNK, then why not?)
