Not sure what you mean exactly... I don't see any ID in the monster list.
The xml can be in any order you want to write it in and generally you are only writing the mobs that are important to you so you can have alot less in there and not even have the nm at all. Not sure what mean by if it is 3 spots above in the xml will it still be 3 spots above in the xml...
You don't actually have to mess with xmls to change things names. You can just click on it and change it then write changes
With Caller's Horn +2, it says increases Favor Tier by 2, Does that go beyond the ~513 Skill Cap we know (I.E 5MP/tic with 513, with horn become 7mp/tic), or just up to the known cap?
Beyond
The first SS is POLUtils - notice the column of IDs
The second SS is the exported XML - notice the different IDs
The third SS is the name replace xml - notice the different format to the exported monster list.
Edit: Obviously I took the SSs after I had already changed their names.
Ah yeah never used the data browser thing just the name changer options. What exactly is your end goal?
I was just curious why there were two different sets of IDs, one being the 0104#### ones (which are also the ones ApRadar uses) and the other being the 17080### set (which are needed to rename NPCs)
If there was a way to get the 17080 ID for a mob without having to export the whole list as xml to get it, that'd be cool as it'd save a bit of time.
Ah ok quick check it looks like not only are they the same order but they are the same numbers but one is in hex and the other decimal. Can just convert if necessary. Also iirc it's the same order as would appear on widescan if you had them all up on it
Ah ok, cheers for that
Fran - I don't run in a big group anymore and I got all 6 ki with relatively little hassle. If you need some help, yell.
Never done Meebles before but was looking to get a Letalis Mantle.. anyway could any explain to me what the fastest way to get the marks would be/how long it would take to get the mantle?
Other than Tax'et being doable with ~10, how about the others, specifically Orobon/Krabakarpo and Pieste/Kurma?
Seems killing Tax'et as well as one of each of the other two will cover the LS for pursuing any of the weapons they want to obtain.
Also, are the weapon drop rates at all reasonable? Either way, I think we're looking at trying to get the 3 NM Key items for everyone, then low-man farming for plasm as best we can.
Last question, I think. Can plasm be acquired right away, or do we need a NM key item before we can start collecting it?
Well, you have to goal 3 all 20 of the non-boss Meebles Sauromugue expeditions, so 20 tags (you start with 10 iirc these days) to use assuming zero mess-ups on getting goal-3. You should be close to 70k research marks after that, assuming a full party of 6 (extra marks for a full party vs. bare minimum 3), and from there it's just a matter of farming whichever one is quick/easy if you need more.
At most two weeks I'd say with a full group, which gives room for error, and blow tags on the bosses for their KI as you wait on the tags to replenish to do more.
Plasm is obtainable before you fight the NMs. There are three methods for obtaining plasm:
1. Use shards (100 Plasm each)
2. Fight pop NMs outside fracture
3. Fracture
Fracture yields the most points, but typically requires you to handle NMs (Either PLD or Twilight). If you're going with an LS composed of returning players, you should try to attempt each NM with 18 members.
Doable and what you can do are a bit different. 18 man groups can fail pretty easy on tax too... kurma is fairly easy manaburn as long as your mages actually have okish gear and have any idea of kiting. When I did it had a mismatch of a few mages and none but me had magian staffs and most didn't even have the crafted ones... granted took us about an hour but rediculously gimp mages and only had like 6 nukers...
All the gear is kinda meh droprate. Eyeballing I'd guess 10-20% with thf on it.
You can get plasm anytime. Only need WKR KI to lead the run into a fracture and only need to be 95 to enter. Outside there are no requirements that I know of same with eatting shards
Orobon can be zerged down but you're going to need fill the rest of the ally with pickup people, rotate brds/cors etc. Krab is a joke if you have a couple of Mura Sam/good formless mnks, otherwise you're better off trying orobon.
DDzerg Pieste fill alliance with pickup people, have a non-retarded ls member stun calcifying mist, keep blind on, rotate brds/cors. Kurma isn't worth doing unless you have multiple good delve melee, manaburn setups are terribly slow and gimp DDs will time out.
Forget about the drop rates on weapons if you're getting first time kills, just farm up the plasm in PUG fracture runs. No reason to low man do it when you can fill an entire alliance in a few shouts.
There are no pre-reqs to entering fracture farming runs if you aren't the leader so you can get plasm right away.
From the delve thread it seems like a 2nd lightshot can further increase the defense down from dia. Has there been testing done on this? If so, whats stopping ppl from using a 3rd/4th lightshot to increase the defense down % from the other cor?
Allegedly it caps at 20%.
Can anyone confirm/deny whether or not you can use UGC to purchase crysta? (I used them for a while, but that was before the playspan network closed down. Ultimategamecard.com does list ffxi as a supported game, but I read a few reports of it not working.)
I've been using paypal through them for purchasing crysta the past year, haven't had a problem yet.
