So since Legion is basically dead on Odin and I'm not going to be getting a pugi, is Aphotic/STR Thokcha the way to go if my Mandau is still 95? I hate not using Mandau but I'm a big boy, I'll get over it. Thanks in advance like always, dudes.

99ing it only gains you 2DMG in your offhand slot. 95 still has much higher DPS than Thokcha. Thokcha's 11Str will give either 2 or 3 fStr most likely. If we assume 3, Mandau 95 is still 14.5% higher DPS not accounting for Thokcha's Attack+ (16.8% higher is Thokcha only gains 2fStr). Mandau 99 being a 18.8% higher DPS over Thokcha (21.2% if only 2fStr).

I'm not sure how much attack it would take to beat that 14.5-16.8% increase in TP phase DPS.

It is closer to a 10% difference before attack in the offhand, but the answer is still the same.

Whats my best option.
Currently I have 99MNK (Main), 99THF (TH7), and 99NIN (Not so great). I have no R/E/M I was working on Vere's until the latest patch, I'm on the last nm before VNM's. I'm wondering what my best option is to farm plasm, should I just make my vere's? should I try and get in with a kind of gimp th7 THF, or should I level whm (really don't want it to come to this).

Study the Delve maps and offer to go as TH puller to plasm shouts. It will be confusing the first run, but you'll get the hang of it. 90% of the time you'll be running and not meleeing so the only thing people look for is the TH value for airlixirs.

Once you amass 30000, try to get into a Tax'et or Mastop shout (or see if your server sells clears, shouldn't cost much) and pick up a pair of Rigor Baghnahks. They crap all over all previous options and are bested only by Oatixur, a Delve Naakual drop.

Sounds good. Having trouble finding general PUP builds or guides (AH gearsets need friggen time-stamps so I can ignore the stuff older than SoA), any other stand-out pieces? Not used my PUP in awhile, so it's AF3+2, NNI, and VW gear I have access to. No AF2+2 yet and next to nothing from SoA outside of Rigors.

How does 11Str give 5-6 base damage? It's going to give like 2-3.

Fstr works on both hands. when comparing the benefits of fstr on a weapon, it is easier to assign the increase caused on both hands to the weapon.

New account, so not too much yet. Only just starting to make a bit of cash. I knew about hands for tping, hadnt noticed how good the feet would be for ruinator though. The other bits have a ton of str on, seeing as i dont have twilight i might get those too. Thanks.

Another question: looking at raising adoulin fame to be able to buy wildskeeper items in case anyone does a shout for them again, and to be prepared for the next patch. Which quests are quick/easy for fame? Any in particular people would recommend? Thanks.

While I haven't looked at the different Usu+1 options in depth, when I did back then those were the ones that stood out the most.

Other than that, if you have NNI etc available, you can already build pretty good sets. You can take a look at my sets in FFXIAH, which are far from perfect, but should give you a good idea. Ah, remember that with Rigors, SP > Shijin, as the base damage increase from the 100% DEX mod is not as impressive when your weapons jump from 40-50 damage to 101.
