Oh yeah, Helel has mentioned that 1 snapshot = 2% delay reduction.
Now, BG wiki lists Sylvan Gapette +2 as 5 percent Snapshot. Does that mean 5% delay reduction, or 10%?
How does Save TP work? I've never had the roll on me, and Ionis supposedly gives Minor Save TP, but the only thing I've really noticed is that my minimum TP returned from a WS is 5 (IE, whiff, only hits other than first hit landing, etc), while Wiki makes it sound as if Save TP is supposed to add a flat +x TP to your return after WSing. Curious due to the +25 from Tsurumaru.
https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Save_TP
Gives a flat TP return, assuming you don't receive more TP from the WS itself. Unneeded nerf from a year ago, where it used to be additive.
IIRC Save TP is just a minimum value. If your WS grants more than the value, essentially nothing happens and you are given normal TP return. It is additive as well, which is why a Hagakure WS with Ionis grants 45 TP. Save TP caps at 50.
Basicallt Tsurumaru will give 25 TP if it misses, lands, Quad attacks, etc.
Has any real testing been done on the food from tojil meat? Anyone with some should see if it gives equipment haste for some reason. Or not.... I'm bored at work.
Updated WAR spreadsheet already has the Dagger on. I requested it be added a few weeks back.
Didn't realize there was testing in progress over there, I'll go check it out. But first...
(man I'm on a question tirade today) has courser's roll ever been quantified? Or at least lucky/11/unlucky? Worth using in RNG burn with 2 CORs? (assuming chaos, hunters, samurai(rogue's?), and finally coursers)?
Now im done, srsly
Courser's Roll hasn't been quantified but it is hugely, hugely noticeable and definitely worth using in a RNG burn.
Give it to 1 RNG for a fight and not to another and then compare shot numbers. Difference is pretty large. I was on the bad end of one of those results thanks to dispelga.
As a Scholar, should the only storm on my melees be Firestorm (Stormsurge 5/5 obviously)? If I wanted to enhance their enspells, would I need to accession the appropriate storm onto them, or is it enough to just have it active on me when I cast the enspell? What about things like elemental obis, does equipping those when I cast the enspell do anything for my melees?
I'm assuming it's best to just Firestorm them and give them the enspell matching the day.
Thanks for the help, peeps.
Today I tried again with two stunners (me and another guy). We did pretty well, zero deaths, it was just perfect, too bad nothing dropped.
I have another question, though, which piece would be better for Stunning? Nares Cap or Zelus Tiara? Right now I have a Tethyan Cap +3, which is Fast Cast 7%, should I change it into Zelus Tiara? Been having shitty luck on NNI, so I'll get the cap eventualy.
Depends on a lot of factors. If you need slightly more macc then nares if more recast zelus. You could always try for xux since that's pretty easy to get
This has been discussed a few weeks ago, I remember Kaisha and others participating in the discussion but I think we just dropped it.
PUP/THF. Does the TH from /THF apply to the target if you don't touch it?
My hypothesys is that it should because the action you use after deploying the Automaton should put you in the target's enmity list.
Deploy does that as soon as the automaton hits the target at least once. (is this correct? Demonstration should be that if you let your automaton die, the mob will come to you after, meaning you're in his enmity list?)
Subsequentially to the previous point, maneuvers should generate a small amount of enmity as well.
Deploy/fight/assault will not put you on the hate list; you would need to perform another enmity causing action in range. For example, if you send your pet against a mob with an enmity reset move, but never perform any other actions within range (like within 30'), the mob won't even flinch or turn to you when that move is used. Your relation to the mob in those cases is the same as supertanking, you have some kind of tag/claim status on the mob, but zero enmity.
As for whether or not maneuvers generate enmity, I have no idea. Even if they did, my current understanding (which is also what wiki has down), is that you need to inflict some kind of offensive action to inflict the TH 'debuff'. I can't imagine a maneuver would work.
EDIT: Has anyone tested the sam af2+2 pants at all? do they need to remain equipped for the third eye bonus to work?
Long time lapsed player (bailed about the time Wings came out) returning with a brand new account. Levelling is proving to be extremely easy these days, which is great, but I'm running into problems keeping geared up (lack of funds) and doing some of the normal quests (like subjob, for example). I'm duoing with a friend, currently as RDM or WHM + WAR or MNK. It looks like once we hit 30 a lot of our problems will ease up, but what do most people do to get through those early quests/missions/etc. and stay geared up pre-30 these days? Or are there just not a lot of new players coming in on fresh accounts so it's not an issue?
I'd love to finally go back and do all the storyline missions I never got to finish either, for lack of parties etc. Looks like a great deal of these are soloable/duoable now. The farthest I ever got was maybe one step beyond getting an airship pass before. So yeah...
Thanks for any help and guidance you can offer guys! Great to be back!
I don't bother gearing too much. A lot of people gov to 30+ and now I use coalition assignments to get my jobs to 30
