So i tossed my RUN fencers sword in a fit of mog house cleaning (the level 1 sword you get, ra/ex) is it reobtainable some how, or should i just say fuck it and level it up to 10 with something else ...?

3 strong DD, THF if you want TH, BRD, SMN. If you want to play it safe have everyone except 1 DD start running from JOL just before it dies, usually it will only kill 1 person before idling. Have thf sack it once every ~2mins out of party to prevent depop. Unweaken 30+ from AV/sacker (not thf obviously), brd songs, sack one last time, invite thf, PD, engage, AV dies.
Add more DDs to account for how far from optimal they are and a mage to pro/shell assist on cures if your brd or smn aren't confident.
Do you still need to kill JOL adds to weaken AV regen for a setup like that?
No, you didn't at 85 when it was first being zerged down since last change so you definitely don't need to now.
People killed adds then. And I would highly recommend you do it now.
I was part of AV kills at 85 cap that didn't involve holding JOL to kill adds to negate regen, you'dget 1-3 sets of adds over the natural course of the fight. So there is that.
I have also done 4 AV fights at 99 cap using 3 DD, 2 of which JOL didn't pop a single set of adds, the other 2 I believe popped 1 set each. No spamming of any magic on AV either to further reduce regen, it isn't necessary by any stretch.
On WS with an attack bonus (or penalty) is this calculated separately from any other bonus attack (or penalty) or together (additive). For example: Ruinator has a +35% attack bonus, when pair with beserk is the total att +60% (additive) or 68.75% (multiplicative)?
Can Spellcast differentiate between Advancing and Victory March? If not is there a way?
Is it likely that Ragnarok will beat Razorfury after RME patch? If we assume the % increase from the Excalibur example given (73 to 121 is 165% increase) then it would be D236 compared to D259 on NQ Razorfury but now the Accuracy is irrelevant (unless they increase it) and Razorfury will have 55~ more attack. This of course ignores whatever they do to RME Great Axes and whatever the stats for the new megaboss drop is.
So I came back after having taken a break just before Delve came out, with the empyrean WS becoming available to all weapons, would I be better off meriting up Shijin or using VS once I get my hands on Oat?
There is no telling when or even if emp WS will ever be unlockable at this point.
If that is still gonna happen, it will be at least 1+ months away. I'd just merit shijin tbh. They changed the merit WS so that 1 merit now is better than 4 merits previously so it shouldnt be too painful to make room for it.
If you're only going to go 1/5, just use Asuran.
Nah I'd definitely go 5/5 since every point of damage counts in content like Delve, just curious if VS will hypothetically beat SS out once they get around to implementing it.
with low buffs asuran? wtf missing 1 of the 8 punches is highly likely than missing 1 hit of SS since you are already low buffed
not to mention MNK got pretty decent multi hit for WS set and means there is still more potential on SS than asuran hitting 8 hit max anyway....
Current theory says that DA (or other multi-hit) on Asuran should have no effect, because you're already attempting to swing 8 times.
Asuran has made a slight come-back due to the massive weapon damage of Oaxitur. Because base damage is so high, modifiers matter less and the huge fTP of Asuran is more important.
