Anybody knows of an updated guide or forum-post about the fastest way to level Cooking from 0 to 100?
I had a slightly longer post, I came off as an asshole, with reason...but instead I'll post this:
Everyone here knows BST can solo anything that doesnt have crazy regen or isnt vastly over the players level given enough time, I dont believe it needs to be pointed out. BST kills are undoubtedly the safest since SE completely pussified the job (dawn mulsum, reward mods over the years, snarl), but they are also the slowest, and lack much utility (blue !!, TH). Its more of a "well I cant do it any other way" fallback plan instead of a solution.
I just got a Hedera Cotehardie...whats it generally used for? All I can think of is melee mage haste piece, drain/aspir recast, am I missing anything?
I use it on buffs like stoneskin, haste etc. Might as well. If you have Herpderp Robe it's better but that thing's a lot harder to come by than a Hedera.
Can BST solo Roar a cat burglar bares her fangs fight in Moogle Kupodetat? And what about the final fight against Riko?
Synergy augments on abjuration gear, would it be better to let my 70+ friend do all the work on trying for an hq, or would there be any effect If I were to operate furnace releasing pressure and stuff while he does all the fewell feeding? My skill is only lvl 4. He is pretty new at doing it, just basically poweskilled it up and now trying to do some augments.
Beside that question any other tips or suggestions on going for HQ augments?
Just leave him do it solo, it really isn't at all difficult.
Basically release pressure whenever it gets to 30 (don't let it go over). Shoot for +/- 1 of the target level. All augments are single element so only have to focus on them. Don't worry about what the other values are, only the target element. It's basically a case of target element 4-7 times, maybe hit opposing element 1-2 times if you overshoot, release pressure if it's at 30 at any point. It really is that simple.
If the synth is leaking then you can overshoot it and just let it naturally drop to perfect before ending.
ok, thanks
I don't think you can on cat burglar. Was moderately difficult with bst and whm. As far as final fight fighting normally no probably not but could probably skillchain it to death /sam like most jobs can. Onslaught or primal rend into ruinator should make darkness. Can start off with-def or hp pet move maybe
Another BST helped me and he told me otherwise on the cat burglar fight, he said BST can solo it easily but he decided to help me to be nice. He also said the final fight wasn't much harder. I don't have primal rend but I do have ruinator. I'd like to end Riko before his minions pop out, I've seen a sam solo him on Youtube and he barely got out his minions before he won.
Best way to pop windwalker in SSR?
It might be possible but I don't think it would be easy. Either that or my run just did weird stuff. Hate with the adds kinda went wonky. Do you have any other jobs? Basically anything with a strong ws (or in the case of blu spell) that can finish a lvl 3 skillchain will straight up kill it. Actually going thru and doing the fight is significantly harder
I have my mnk voke the rampart that is across from the direction you want to go in the openin hallways, have whm (who should have sneak up) sneak mnk after voke and just run it right back across the big square room to the direction you do want to go, have the whm run with you, aggro the first 2 ramparts then double back or fight in the room you're running towards after you've aggrod each. Should only have 9 mobs on you, 3 casters, take those out first and it should be np.
Conveniently, I just did both of these last night on my BST. Yes, they are both perfectly doable.
It sounds like you already finished the Mithra fight but all I did was put Dipper on her, run behind her, and melee while making sure not to take hate. Reward when/if needed.
For the fight against Rico, use Gooey. This will be a longer fight (~22 minutes here) but it isn't hard. There is no way you will be killing Rico before he summons his minions solo as BST, so I wouldn't recommend it. For this fight, come WHM sub or bring some hi-potions. Put Gooey on him, and stay as far away as possible (I hung out near the door, about 20-25 yalms away). When he got to 75% the first and second times, he drew me in and hit me for about 900, causing stun. It was the same both times. Just run back out as soon as you can, and use hi-potions and /heal to full. At 50% the first two times he will call minions and go back and heal. As soon as he does this, put Gooey on one of the adds the second they pop. Otherwise Gooey will return to you while being blasted by -ga spells. Take out the adds each time. Watch HP here, as this is when Gooey will take the biggest beating. Finally the third time Rico is at 100% and comes back, he will be kill able. He didn't draw me in at all this time. He summons the adds at 50% again but stays to fight with them. Just keep your pet fighting Rico and it will be over soon.
I think I used 4 Zetas. I have two Astolfos and AF3+1 legs for pet damage taken, but not much else in the way of notable gear.
/sch and i cure just cure through it, killspeed is tarded fast veremnk + thf/dnc and its adequate healing, sometimes i have to pop a vile if something stupid like carnal spam is happening
Just grab the rampart, fight the adds + sleep ramp, wake + sneak + run the rampart. With phalanx, you shouldn't take dmg from MNKs anyways.
