It's probably 70 MAcc. Soothsayer is better than Chatoyant, yeah.

So are the numbers on the affinity page all off? https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Magic_Affinity
Has someone attempted to write up what's happened with magic recently in an accessible fashion?
What do you mean about what's happened with magic recently?
What augments are worthwhile on Moonshade earring now, given the new earrings?
Have some DDs (MNK, DRK, SAM), COR, and WHM.. any suggestions? Or is regain still king?
Just PLed my RUN sub up so I'm pretty clueless about the job. Is there a way to get rid of rune charges (i.e. enspells) without using Lunge?
How bad is Dynamis exp now? Is it even worth going now or should I just wait until they fix the EXP bug? I'd probably be going MNK+BRD, where the BRD needs the exp. MNK has Rigors and some Manibozho.
So there's no way to get rid of them altogether as /RUN without Lunge (besides waiting) then? The reason I'm asking is because there are occasional situations where you have enspells on you and the next mob you have to fight you don't want to do magic damage on for whatever reason, so getting rid of your enspells with Lunge (which I understand to be magic damage) would obviously be a bad idea. I was aware of overwriting enspells with other ones but I'm looking to cancel them altogether (if it's possible) with RUN as a subjob.
Its fine if you unequip rigors and your manibozho, i'd prolly just wait till it gets patched though
does the new item level and check interaction affect skill ups? for example, gustav tunnel worms are now easy prey instead of tough to very tough. will i still be able to cap skills to 99 on them without changing gear, or would i have to find an even higher level mob?
Since you benefit from killing skillup mobs with a lower delay damage weapon (slower kills attack at same speed means less downtime) you can just get a level 1 weapon, for armor you can cap haste and stack multihit without using any iLevel gear. Whether it actually affects skillups I don't know, but there is 0 reason to go find harder mobs to skillup using iLevel gear.
I'm a retired warrior on a fixed income and I'm looking to make some improvements to my mages. In terms of practicality, just how far ahead is Atinian over Soothsayer currently? I know it's an improvement, but is it a vast improvement? Anyone got any numbers or math on it?
