As someone who has not touched Salvage II or read much about it I was wondering if someone could answer me two questions?
    1. Can all zones be 3 manned with DD+Thf+Healer?
    2. Is having Formless Strikes or Mura a deal breaker or does it simply speed up clear times?

    1) Yes
    2) No. It just speeds up clear times for two of the zones.

I'd say Byrth's answer above is mostly accurate, but I'd add that it strongly depends on you having the right gear and DT sets for the right situations. For example, if you're doing SSR2 and you don't have a MDT set, you stand a very good chance of being one-shotted by a nuke after Cackle or possibly when cursed. For Cerb, even one decent nuke plus enspell can greatly speed up the kill (assuming your healer is on SCH or something and can nuke in the middle of the fight). You stand a chance of running out of MP or dying to something stupid on Cerb if you can't deal damage as his PDT rises.

Edit: Hydra is probably more of a douche than Cerb, but it's worth noting that you can stick Gravity (not particularly resistant) and kite hydra while shield is up, if you want.

I'll argue one or the other (or Twilight Scythe/Odin II sword) makes your life significantly easier on Cerberus and Hydra (Mura less so on Hydra).

Cerberus Seether takes me about 9 minutes to kill as the only DD on DNC/NIN (over 10 runs it ranged from 7~11 minute kills)
Cerberus takes a little more than half as long to kill

So yeah, it is going to make it easier to have a Twilight Scythe (were the damage properties of Heimdall's Doom ever confirmed?), but it's not going to blow your mind with how much shorter it makes your runs. Even if the weapons shaved half of the time off each fight, they'd still save me less than 10 minutes per run.

A DD that can't skillchain with itself (or is paired with a job with low weapon skill frequency) is going to have a much harder time keeping the damage resistance under control, though.

Edit: I have no idea if Heimdall's Doom works the same way as Twilight Scythe, I just assumed it did.

Are there still situations that require sushi as a Ukon, Rag, Apoc, Masa user with Embrava, Minuets, Booststr, fighters/chaos and occasional madrigal when brd mule is on? Maybe Odin II cuz of constant dispelga? I assume Pizza +1 in Legion if I get max buffs?

(oh shit I don't have Pummel how did this happen) Also curious about merits, since I did these ages ago I don't know how puppets work in this new and crazy 99-world:
I have 5 melee 5 magic skill for t1 then role reversal 1 ventriloquy 1 fine-tuning 4 optimization 4 HOW AWFUL WERE MY CHOICES
Like what others have already said, T1 Melee/ranged T2 5 optimization, 3 fine tuning 1 vent 1 role reversal. If you love the blm puppet or something 5 magic wouldn't hurt for macc but otherwise meh.
As far as gear goes, standard mix of AF3 or nyzul same as any job. Toci's harness for ws if you're lucky enough to have it, omodaka body is also good now.

Newish attachements worth using that no one else mentioned:
Coiler - double attack nuff said
Heat capacitor- kinda like meditate consumes fire maneuvers for TP
Power cooler - reduces MP cost for spells based on number of ice maneuvers. Useful for whm puppet.
Barrage Turbine - consumes wind maneuvers for Barrage. useful for rng puppet (obviously)
    Viva-valve - cure potency +
Disruptor - dispel for dark maneuver. Mostly useful for procs in dynamis.
The rest are either meh or you'll never have room/elemental capacity to make use of them. (It's also possible I've forgotten 1 or 2.)

Any easy way to do lighting magic accuracy magian trials (solo)?
Seems like the only way is to apply shock or ionohelix and then kill the mob with nukes.

    WHM:
    5 Cure Casting
    5 Barspell
    5 Shellra
Rest is pretty much up to your own personal preference.

    BLM:
    5 Ice Potency
    5 Thunder Potency
(These may or may not change when Elemental Magic is updated.)
For the Group 2, its generally a safe bet to unlock them all and then go 5 in one of them.

    RDM:
    5 Convert Recast
5 in either Ice or Thunder accuracy for nuking (I did Ice).
Dia3, while useful, is only useful in events people aren't bringing RDMs to. I'd say go 5 in Slow2 and Paralyze2.

    SCH:
    5 Max Sublimation
    5 Helix Acc/Atk
    5 Stormsurge
5 Enlightenment is also a solid choice to prep up a nuke or Helix spell with the +20 INT.

Got my god damned Rubeus Boots finally after over 250 some pops. So next order of business on my Enhance-gear list while Embrava's nerf is impending is a Merciful cape. Been awhile since I did sea, but what are the low-man options for a 3 organ Ix'MNK pop?

On my BST I currently got -39% in Pet-PDT and a +50% reward set, wondering if that's enough to have a pet solo it (Falcorr/Yuly for TH) while I handle one of the adds myself with a 2box whm on support

Dunno about the other jobs, but RDM:

5/5 convert recast, 5/5 Ice accuracy, 5/5 Dia III, 4/5 Slow II, 1/5 Paralyze II.

Ice accuracy will benefit Paralyze, Bind (lol), and Blizzard spells. To be honest, you could probably drop Convert recast for Earth (slow) or Thunder (stun, thunder nukes) accuracy, but I don't care enough. After the elemental magic tweaks, I might swap Ice to Earth.

Dia III is the only unique thing RDM can do, and no testing (?) has been done on the enhanced potency from Paralyze II merits, so I capped Dia III and put one point into Para II. Blind II is a joke, Bio III is totally unnecessary, and there's almost no reason to ever be not /SCH, so you can almost always Accession Phalanx (which caps higher than Phalanx II anyway, I believe?).

You should be fine. I've soloed a 3-organ Ix'MNK on RDM with only Genbu's Shield for PDT.

With a 2box whm, wasn't too bad, had to use two theta though. Not killed Ix'MNK in years, but did he always remain in hundred-fists mode when he 2hrs? He was attacking non-stop the entire fight after he went.

0/1, this'll be a fun night. If my luck is shit, will hang out in the zone another day and offering to trade deeds for a vice.

In Abyssea, can NMs still drop items without blue procing? For example, can Heqet drop Aeolus Arrow without procing blue on him?

If you're going to do this then sub DRK for Manifestation Absorb-MND. Counts as a thunder debuff
