Since the Embrava hit to all of Meebles, the answer depends on how fast you can kill bosses, since the buff barely lasts 5 minutes with +2 gloves on. It's still a lot of haste in combination with the haste spell, and the regen is still nice when stacked with Regen 5, just no TP regain is fucking ass backwards with the ruined duration.
According to Fake and Kidnoftle im the shitty player who relies on easily stunning the mob and not worry about wasting extra time running around. For some people who clamor about time efficiency and have given me shit in the past about time efficiency, their proposed method is not only LESS time efficient, but it does impose an inherent risk (MOST of the time youll interrupt it)...sure you probably wont die from it, but from people who clamor about time efficiency, why work methods that require greater effort?
Is there any point/reason for the multiple Glimmering Troves in Provenance? I'm not like screwing myself out of drops by checking one rather than the other, no?
Couple quickies
- Kaiser Behemoth: Any tips for BLU solo on him, or is he just luck? Wiped on him critting me, followed by thunderbolt, followed by a meteor when was low HP.
- BST Atmas for Abyssea? DD I assume RR/Apoc/VV, what's good for pet PDT? Was wanting to do some skill-up, figured having a close-enough-to-invincible pet would make an easy punching target for EM/T mobs while I slowly smack them with axe/scythe.
I would absolutely not recommend doing apademak without stuns. Obviously I was planning on duoing it if I was going to use a whm/blm stunner in the first place. If you're going to actually have a specified setup for it and are aiming for optimization, sch/blm maintaining capped azure for infinite embrava can basically stunlock it and cut your fight duration drastically by not having to deal with terror/tp resets often. Even if it's not hard to kill without stuns, it takes much longer.
For reference, I have done the fight quite a few times without stuns. It's very annoying dealing with the stuns from fulm, and the pull/position time alone is a big time sink. Outside of not having enough haste to recast it quickly enough, there is no reason for you to miss a stun. His casts are very predictable and have plenty of time in between. I was just making sure that a gimp whm/blm mule with macc atmas wouldn't have had an issue.
Edit again: I just want to add that I'm obviously not Nynjas greatest fan, but this is some bandwagon bullshit going on right now. It's obviously not difficult to kill with fulms and level up, it just takes a great deal longer. Anyone with half an attention span can stun it just fine, provided you won't resist due to macc deficiencies.
What are people using Laeradr set in for the jobs listed? I've tried to put it into a few builds but the slow doesn't make it seem too worthwhile considering how easy it is to cap pdt/mdt. I guess putting it into MDT for more MDB options but I don't see that worth the inventory space honestly.
Thats a good 45 seconds if its your DD whos popping it, probably a minute and a half if its your mage who popped it...which during that 45 seconds your mage is running up the cliff and you have no mage, Apademak will probably cast a spell, fail to interrupt it, and then fulm and possibly kill you before you've gotten your whm in range. good job, you either just died, or you're now actually putting forth substantial effort to recover WHEN if you had just fucking killed it where it spawns, it would be DEAD.
GOOD JOB
Like I said, when I did it, my whm had a non-existant stun set and used MM/Ambition/Merciless, and I didnt have any stuns resisted. Best to keep a brew handy though either way.
Its not bandwagon hating, its a response to shit such as:
If you want to obsess over how long the actual fight is going to take (its no more than ~5mins regardless of how you do it even if you suck) then sure, stunning it where the ??? is is the absolute fastest way. If like me you 3 boxed it and warped back to jeuno to buy new pop items after 3 fights then that will limit your setup options. I did War/sam Thf/nin Whm/blm and covered all red procs, had TH9 and didn't need to warp between dhrome and apa, I really doubt you will find a faster way to do it other than to get more people or brew it.
Also, I did say that it barely resisted in 40+ fights without any macc atmas, and several other people made similar comments.
My main issue was people acting like it was actually safer or more efficient to do the fight without stuns. You have a huge time sink if you have to pull every single apademak up to the ramp and then run back down to pop each time. It adds up quick, and that's not even including the decreased kill speed from dealing with level ups and fulm stuns.
Actually, the fastest way is to make use of your cruor because there's nothing else to do with it.![]()
You can't really get that many kills in per brew now, I pretty much save mine for emergency fuckups. You could still make some gil from cells too, they are still worth a little bit. In most cases I can't even be bothered to switch to a proper brewing atma or job, because the time spend doing so is pretty much a kills worth. Really doesn't save that much time anymore unless you do the whole conflux hop nonsense.
If you are just skilling up I wouldn't use RR. Stick with triple attack and such. Your pet wont really need to be all that strong defensively fight those. Plus 1 of the triple attack atmas gives -pdt. If you really want hard to kill pets keep it under 50% and use ducal gaurd
You cant stop time by engaging in dialog, however anything that puts you in a cutscene (including teleporting around) will stop time. Hence why buffs last slightly longer than expected in NNI.
