Not really. If you just use Ninja to do random stuff in abyssea, Jin is perfectly fine. If you want to do stuff beyond that, I'd suggest making a Kannagi. Spending the 5 merit points into a more quality weapon skill would be a good plan.
12 STR+DEX is ideal for attribute merits.
Jesus christ shut up, everyone
The question has been answered. Most anyone with a decent stun set can handle Apa, and while having someone to stun things certainly makes things simpler and less prone to incidents, it isn't completely necessary
Is it possible to try and red proc X NM in Abyssea, have a partner (BST) hold it, I run out, change to BST, to speed up kill, and still get atma?
Reason is I got PLD levelled and as you all know it sucks
I dunno if anyones really tried that to be honest. Id wager no, but you could always try on a shitty NM and find out?
You'll get the atma.
Buffy: good point! Didn't think of it that way.

I'm getting strange DCs where I'll get the red dot by my character's name and NPCs/PCs will stop moving, but the chat log keeps scrolling with new stuff until the game boots me. Is it just my ISP being weird or is there something I can do to fix it?
FFXI's server still sends your client info, but rejects anything you try to tell it on your end whenever you have a case of a quick disconnection that changes your IP. At least that's what I've experienced in the past.
It's like how you can still do /search and other shit while expecting the game to time you out.
Is this macro good enough for call beast or do I need a wait before the JA to guarantee the gloves will work?
/equip Hands "Monster Gloves +2"
/ja "Call Beast" <me>
Amphitrite 3boxable Thf Blm Whm? If not, minimum needed to kill? (Chars: Thf/Drg/Cor/Sch, Whm/Nin, Blm/Brd)
yes. I've done it like that or replacing the thf with a nin. Blm each time was no geared no atma no skilled just for procs and whm was /rdm with ok gear/atmas in case wondering just how gimp you can be. Tank of course was my main so well geared. iirc on nin I wasn't capping evasion so it actually managed to knock shadows down between spells while thf it couldn't.
The main thing to worry about is paying very close attention and stopping the right dmg types right away which is a bit harder 3 boxing. Otherwise it can wreck you
Maybe the guy thought the leader wasn't going to use displacers and that tactician's roll is a waste when chaos would have done better to do more damage plus the player could have used RCB instead of pizza to give more attack if it was the case the popper wasn't going to use displacers?
How much counter does a monk have, assuming enhanced counterstance and full counter merits? Is it Base 12%, +5% from merits, and +55% from counterstance?
