What's the strat for 3 manning him, he gave my group of 6 a little trouble. Do you spam the palips? I did it with a pickup group but with a pickup group of fairly well geared players but I suppose if you're 3 manning you really would need Ragna/Annhilator and a hybrid PDT set.

Yeah that is pretty much it. RNG has Ragnarok, DRK has Anni and we just DD it down. The only dangerous ws is the HP down one, have to get that off ASAP.

Without Requiescat it falls behind 95 Almace but still ahead of 90. The hidden effect is 10% proc rate and doesn't get resisted as much as enlight. The ACC bonus of Enlight is really nice however.

If your Excal is going to be stuck at 95 I'd definitely just recommend doing Almace. I'm just going to 99 both and AFK like a king.

I implemented in the spreadhseet Excal's additional assuming a 15% proc rate, and with a base 1600 HP, it's the equivalent of a 61 additional each hit. Which is like the initial enlight hit with good potency, but without decay and without the acc bonus. With that, and a good Requiescat build, 99 Excal is far superior to Almace, specially considering PLD shitty DEX gear and the fact that against most mobs PLD will have near floored dDEX. Requiescat is much easier to boost, and also Excalibur gives a very needed attack bonus.

I had my doubts, but the difference is pretty high, once you run the numbers.

Sometimes people struggle due to TP feed. 2 DDs on him is all you want. One front, one back. THF for TH and the rest should be support jobs. (if bringing 6) He is also easy to kite if you need to regroup.

Stardiver is stronger than Drakesbane, especially without Ryunohige. I'd merit it.

What gear are you putting in for cdc? Cause pld cdc set while alot of the individual peices are different is overall stat wise pretty close to say blus.

Stand on one of its feet and it should never do Lithic Breath.

I have never fought him, but isn't there a move that sets hp to 1%? Scherzo work or stun only? Going to fight him soon and trying to plan my set up

^ This, if you miss stun or don't have stun just kite him after he uses it. It has a long charge time so you need to wait a second before stunning or just start running as soon as he starts it.

Would have no problems at all on NQ or HQ khimera. Either stun fulm or keep one of the DDs out of range to paralyna/healing waltz the WHM.

Definitely merit 5/5 Stardiver if you're at all serious about Drg. As said it's the best weaponskill without Ryunohige, sans Abyssea. It's also especially useful for events with Crit - like Morta VW/Legion.

Keeping in mind that I'm no PLD, and I was just doing some calcs for a friend, here's what I got. PLD/WAR, Hume, STR/DEX merits, RCB, Bergressor on (dps ratio is the same if off), Almace with Enlight, Excalibur without (and taking into account its additional assuming a 15% activation rate in the form of a buffed enfire), Mob is Hydra RNG with Dia II on, only external buff is Haste. Same TP set for both.
