You do, but after that initial screen, and it won't give you the accounts that already have it registered for. Shockingly for SE, given the way the SE account was such a fucking stupid system to start with, it was very simple and keeps you from screwing up and assigning the code to the wrong account.

Is there a way to reset your POL password? I haven't logged in in 4months, tried to log in today to update, I keep getting wrong POL ID or Password, I'm 100% certain it's not my ID, because I loged in into my SE account management page and (SE ID/PW were correct, or else I wouldn't have been able to log in) triple checked my POL ID. I didn't see/couldn't find an option to change or reset my POL password, do I have to call SE and such? any help is appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Is it normal for PS2 FFXI to hitch up a lot in busy areas these days? Updated my old PS2 (which took fucking forever) for 2box'ing purposes since my main gaming rig is out of commission currently, and I just don't recall XI running this bad on the old console back when I used it extensively during CoP times. Low frame-rate, sure, but not hitching up for 4-5 seconds every other minute sitting around in town.

Yes, your PlayStation 2 will run like garbage, hiccup everywhere, and experience unrecoverable freezes during events like Voidwatch. If you only use it to take your character to unpopulated areas and stare at the sky, though, you might be okay.

I've never been strong to begin with but I remember I barely had to heal myself on MNK (round 5k HP?) when I did it long time ago, I only had Shell5 and regular Atmas.
Yesterday I got two-shot when his hp was like uhm 30% or something, lower maybe, and I was using Apoc, RR and Brother Wolf, plus Barfira for 207 fire resist.
It's true that I was using my regular TP set and not a PDT or MDT one, but then again I wasn't using one when I fought him long time ago either, and I didn't have Brother Wolf either.
He used 2hr multiple times and basically I got twoshot while my seminaked whm mule was casting a selfbuff, so unable to C6 me. Think Barfira was down when I died though.

No big deal, killed a 2nd time 15 mins after and got 2 souls, but still I was surprised.
I dunno what was different when I fought him long time ago, maybe I bothered to dispel his haste, but it seems to me he was doing way less damage with his spikes, or something.



How different is Oogopogo these days? Only fought him a few times at level 90 with my MNK, an insanely good WHM and a BRD. Even with 2xCarol (which seemed a waste honestly), Barwater and augmented shell5 it seemed a pretty random NM.
Basically it was easy as fuck, but the second you were getting distracted by the boredom the same move that would barely scratch you 'til then, would randomly bring your HP in red the next time. I remember the WHM getting heart attacks and whining.
Dunno how having 9 more levels made it any easier, never got a chance to fight it at 99, but I do have one pop atm.

All of the heroes tier 3 VNMs were a joke at 90, they are even easier now. Brulo is the worst since there is always plenty of retards soloing/teaming up to kill the T2 for seals and taking 5+ mins to kill it.

Maere is the easiest in every respect, the only thing it can do is sometimes kill your whm (duo/2box) if it draws in nightmare, it shouldn't kill any DD in 60 seconds. This isn't an issue though since you can just have them RR up and run back to 20+ and get on hate list again.

What's an ideal Last Stand set for Corsair?

For max dmg:

Thaumas hat/WS gorget/Auster's Pearl/Moonshade with TP bouns and racc or rattk
Khepri jacket/Sigyn's bazubands/stormsoul x2
Terebellum mantle/Light belt/Thaumas kecks/Thaumas nails


You may have racc issue depending on what you fight and your buff, Libeccio mantle is good swap if you miss too much. (can also use Hajduk ring(+1) if Libeccio isn't enough)

Mine's a little out of date, but it's going to look like:

Thaumus Head/Soicheion Medal/Novio/Hecate's
Khepri Jacket (augmented)/Thaumas Gloves/AGI +7 x2
Forban/Sveltesse Gouriz/Thaumus/Thaumus

Khepri Jacket can be more realistically replaced with Tessera > Athos > Loki's

That's pre-meebles gear...if there is a meebles piece good for cor, I haven't looked into it, too much crafting lately.

Meeble has Elanid belt, which can replace Sveltesse. Since it has extra enmity -3 and saves inventory(it's also a ranged TP belt)

Don't want to sound mean but this isn't helping me D:
I just said that:
1) I had issues in killing Brulo yesterday (at 99, dualbox)
2) I had random problems with Ogopogo (at 90, with 3 players me included)
So judging from this you should have been already able to tell that I'm a pretty weaker/unskilled player compared to you.

I'd apreciate tips on the setups used for these 3 respective T3 VNMs, considering I have an average lv90 Vere Galka MNK on my main, and an uberly gimp non-gearswapping taru WHM/RDM mule on my mule, equipping very below average gear, for instance:
Light Staff, Impatiens
AF3+1 head, Colossus, random earrings
Noble's, serpentes, random rings
Aslan cape, Witful, AF3+2 legs, serpentes

At least he has majority of atmas and can equip 3 of course. Yesterday I was using MM, Rescuer and Allure.


Another thing why I used to prefer Brulo (before I went on my long break) was mainly for the T2.
I can Kill Koios by engaging it and going afk.
Chione is not that hard I suppose but requires a bit of turning/attention.
On Gamayun I had similar issues to those I had with Ogopogo. Normally I would laugh at her TP moves/2hr, but occasionally I would just get insanely high damage, at random, for no appearent reason.

Do you use a specific set of atmas for the T3 nms and even T2s?
Do you actively swap between TP, PDT and MDT? Do you go for a compromise between DT and TP? Do you bother with bar-spells?
I want to know stuff like this.

If you're having troubles with any of the T2s then there is something wrong. Gamayun can 2hr 2 times if you kill it slow enough but it should never come anywhere near to killing a Galka Mnk even if you don't shell yourself (it can't randomly do insane damage either).

Ogopogo is the most healing intensive of the 3 but I still never had any issues tanking it + several gears as hume thf/war.

Atmas I used on thf were sanguine scythe, apoc, razed ruins. Which are my normal Atmas for war that I can never be bothered to change. I do have PDT/MDT sets but the only time I'd use them is at 1% on Ogopogo since you know its going to 2hr before it dies. Don't bother with barspells.

It would take minimal effort to make your whm considerably better, there isn't really any excuse for it. That said it shouldn't really matter for this stuff.

And don't use rancor collar if you are doing so

I swear the 2hr and another TP move sometimes do. It's not just my impression but that of all the people I went with. Still, lot of time has passed, guess I'll try again and eventually post numbers if need be.

I was thinking to address that with Sacrosanctity.

So you don't bother with PDT/MDT.
Then I'd love to know how I got shot with ~4k hp by Brulo when I even was using Brother Wolf in place of SS.
I regret not saving the log but that single move brought me from capped HP to 700ish.
I probably died from a double swing plus spikes. But judging from what you're saying there is no single move that should do 3,5k damage to me, while instead it happens.
I had 5/5 Shellra V on, furtherly enhanced by Sheltered Ring.
