£500 a week is less than it costs to keep 1 kid in care, never mind feed and house a whole family! maybe if they paid some of these rogue eastern europeans to build some houses they could kill 2 birds with one stone... rent in this country is bloody ridiculous.

Not a status symbol so to speak (I didn't mean it as a status symbol either), but what I am getting at is the money is not being used appropiately for why they are claiming benefits (i.e. making sure their children have a better upbringing, but instead they get neglected anyway -- lots of proof of this in schools, if you know any teachers ask them).

The fact they're raising the cap to £500 a week is making several several people thinking about quitting their jobs (if in jest, I know it's not realistic, but still ...) because that is seriously more then what they would ever make. It means trying to score as much as the benefits as possible but I have no doubt people will attempt.

And now with the advent of possible more people coming in and joining the system, you do begin to feel that something is seriously wrong...

Maybe that's supposed to be euros? It's still $676.95 At current conversion rate. That's $35k/yr. More than enough to live on in several parts of the US. Is it that much more expensive to live in England?

The ones complaining are everyone (from all backgrounds) who's basically working a legit job, and wondering why the hell should they work if they can get more by not working.

The issue is not only is it overcrowded here but with no sort of block/gate to limit people coming in, we're just going to be slowly fucked.

Yes, more than what a lot of people make. And no tax to my knowledge. Lets not forget that if they're claiming then it's most likely their house (rent) is already paid for too, or it's very limited in what they do need to pay.

Bear in mind while I keep emphasising the £500 cap, there is a big check list of requirements to get there, but as I keep saying, there's no doubt people will try and score as many as they can. I've even provided a semi explanation in brackets:

Bereavement Allowance (if your significant other dies, you get money ... depending on your age; starts at 45, lasts until 60. At 55 you get £105.95 a week)
Carer’s Allowance (look after someone that needs constant medical help)
Child Benefit (basic on a per child basis, more children = more money = more retards)
Child Tax Credit (basic on a per child basis, more children = more money = more retards) (in fact I don't even know what this is ... seems like Child Support)
Employment and Support Allowance (if you're ill and can't work.... fuck, millions probably file this under stress)
Guardian’s Allowance (for looking after a kid who's parents have died. Stacks with Child Benefit and Tax Credit)
Housing Benefit (for when you're too poor to pay your rent)
Incapacity Benefit (money for when you're incapable of working)
Income Support (for those with no income or very little)
Jobseeker’s Allowance (can't find a job, trying to find a job)
Maternity Allowance (get pregnant more)
Severe Disablement Allowance (lets go get disabled)
Widowed Parent’s Allowance (If you’re widowed below State Pension age and have at least one dependent child you could claim Widowed Parent’s Allowance. You may also claim if you’re pregnant and your husband has died, or you’re pregnant after fertility treatment and your civil partner has died. Stacks with Child Benefit and Tax Credit)

On top of that if you go and have 3-10 babies and you become overcrowded you're automatically moved up the priority list for a council house if you choose to apply.

All this, is coming out of legitimate people's tax that don't abuse this.

One of the issues with foreigners coming in (from EU) is that they claim they have a child (or more) back in their country of origin, and claim money for that child, and send it back.

This system is basically breeding more and more retards. This is why I am against having even MORE people coming in.

The semi culmination of this system is that during the London 2011 riots a lot of these retards came out of hiding and think they are entitled to go looting, etc and see nothing wrong with it. I'm sure there's other factors too but when you see it on the news this is one of the very strong vibes I am getting from these people.

Depends I guess. I'm sure if you're not picky you can feed yourself for £10 a week and go very basic. Baked beans and a slice of toast = a meal. Not very satisfying but it's food. And it's only very expensive within London (the "go to" place).

Consider this: A 2 bed apartment in London can cost £250,000 ... with a house probably ranking in at £400,000

A 3 bedroom apartment/house somewhere outside of London (I'll use a mate's town for example - Northampton) costs as little as £100 or even less.

A pint in a London Pub can cost as much as £5-6 ... elsewhere it's probably £2-3

And then there's stories everywhere of UK soldiers returning home from service for one reason or another (some are injured and disabled, retired, or mental issues, etc) are completely neglected in terms of "support" (benefits) in favour of foreigners.
