The crashes are frustrating but looking on-line and every crash I've encountered has been seen by others, so at least it's something that can in theory be fixed.

Seen : CTD opening inventory, random crashes of CTD w/ display driver restart, random hard freeze, and a random display driver crash that even turns off the monitor, even though sound keeps coming out of the speakers.

Also, the hair growth is amusing when you watch it happen mid cutscene. Middle of a conversation and suddenly Geralt's beard just magically grows about 1/2 an inch instantly.

Display driver just crashed while using Chrome, definitely a driver problem.

Picked up the ps4 version since my intel chipset is far too weak to handle pc version. Great game so far. The old man giving anyone a Revolver Ocelot vibe? At least as far as looks are concerned.

If you're on PS4 don't hit Triangle while playing the card game, it freezes the system apparently.

And yeah I think i'd avoid the driver update from Nvidia for now. i took a peak on their official forums and the thread for the driver is 15 pages of bitching not counting hardcore Nvidia fanboys claiming that it's obviously everyone elses fault that their system is crashing.

Holy shit, why is the text is so small. I can't see shit without straining my eyes at the vendor menus. This is a major problem. Even the minimap is impossible to decipher; I see green leaf petals and buildings.

I have been running in fullscreen and have not had a crash since my last post. Either getting lucky or it may be helpful. Mileage may vary, grain of salt, etc.

So I just got out of the first area. Did bunch of side quests but I don't think I got them all. Had few crashes but meh nothing critical, just remember to save fairly often. You want to do that anyways in case you die. Other than that game has been awesome so far.

PS4. Subtitle text is fine, but the vendor descriptions are really difficult to read.

Game doesn't run very well on my 780s, suppose all that Tessellation being 3x faster on Maxwell coupled with TW3 abusing the fuck out of Tessellation is to blame for that. Can run at a mix of Medium/High settings at 1440p, but still goes below 60 very often which is a tradeoff I'm willing to take over blurriness, increased aliasing, and/or letterboxing of downscaled res. Oh well. Still looks nice.

I understand some of the complaints about the graphics being downgraded, but watching an entire landscape and every character and object in it responding to changes in wind direction is really freaking impressive.

Forcing the game into maximum performance via the Nvidia control panel seems to have mostly stopped the crashes, was able to play for 3 hours with only one lock up.

For anyone familiar with Sweetfx, some configs are out now on. Using https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/3691/ to reduce some of the oversaturation. If you end up using any of the configs, consider toggling off the ingame Sharpen/AA since most configs have their own.

Also, for anyone experiencing stuttering in prerendered cutscenes, look at the visuals.ini file in The Witcher 3\bin\config\base, there are flags for MovieFramerate (I set it to 60 from 30) and MovieUbersampling (I set it to false from true).

The Witcher 3\bin\config\platform\pc also contains platformgameplay.ini, which has a setting for LeftStickSensitivity. Setting it from 0.7 to 1.0 improves responsiveness on a gamepad a bit.
