Latest patch got me a few FPS back. Between 45-60 FPS at all times at 4k = mindblowing. The next patch with all the graphical enhancements should be dropping this week.

Running the game at Ultra with no AA or hairworks with SSAO. I could probably squeeze more out of my Titan X and/or lower settings, but 45+ is basically what I shoot for.

wth happened to Physx? That was a nice thing to have that didnt corn fuck your performance. At least it didnt in Borderlands 2.

I'll tell you what happened. PhysX doesn't overuse the fuck out of Tessellation and cause AMD/non-Maxwell nVidia GPUs to crawl and make you think about buying Maxwell.

Holy shit @ the bloody baron bit of the story. Now I know what you guys were talking about. That was amazing. They did a really good job with the storytelling in this game. The writing and the voice acting is fantastic so far.

I love the attention to details, like eye movement and body language - I'm so glad they don't do the Dragon Age thing and have people awkwardly hanging around w/ arms on side, moving only their heads while talking. Wish I had a better PC to see it in higher settings @ 60fps.

Finally got some time to get to Velen. Goddamn, that map is enough to give OCD completionists anxiety.

What's the deal with notice boards though? I thought the crappy non-quest non-contract listings were fluff or occasionally opened up a related ? on the map. But it seems like they can open a fuckton of ?s that have nothing to do with the text on the notices? I feel like I should stop reading the ones without fancy borders and just spam click if its gonna be all random scout-from-GW2 esque.

you have to go there after you vanish the monster and Keira goes to the island to check out the laboratory

Figured. I probably have like... 30 hours on the game. I still haven't gone to the island yet (can't recall the name) cause I just keep getting side tracked every where I go.

Unlike Dragon Age, I actually like the various NPC's you meet. Even the one shot ones during hunts. They're all pretty well done. My Cyberpunk hype is maxed, but we won't even be seeing that for 2 years, so... guess we better enjoy this as long as possible.

Just started playing yesterday. Loving it so far. Just got done with the white orchard sequence. Can't wait to dive deeper into this game

41 hours in so far and only just finished the MSQ in Novigrad and Velen and thats with a fair few ?s still laying about and contracts/other side stuff to do so suffice to say i'm now i'm over the suggested level for the Skellige but still always get the feeling of not wanting to rush straight through and potentially miss something with the way the side quests are done yet even so i'm loving every minute of this even if i have to only run it on medium settings.
