So is my game just freaking out or do you get like a damage/proc penalty against higher level monsters? I'm 11 and ran into a level 25 Griffin and figured I'd give it a shot. I have the Alternate Yrden and Igni slotted and Igni has a 95% chance of burning. I lay down the Yrden sentry and force the Griffin to the ground and tried to burn him. My Yrden sentry just sits there doing nothing and my 95% burn chance fails to proc about 10 times in a row. I start thinking maybe Griffins are immune for whatever reason then on the 11th Igni I see the red damage ticks for burn damage. It only ticks about twice then I takes another 7 tries to get it to go again. At that point I just left because my sentry wasn't activating for some reason and the only way I could reliably damage the mob was with burn.

So I can't craft some of the Enhanced Bombs because I'm missing the regular bomb and I don't see the option to make the regular ones because its overtaken by the Enhanced ones. What do D:

herbalist hut NE of Oxenfurt has all the starter-level bomb plans, evidently. I haven't gone there yet (missing moondust bomb) but id try that.

I wish Zoltan was figured a bit heavier into the story. He's pretty hilarious.

After I rescue the cobbler for Dijstrkra so they can plan to kill Radovoid, the questline just stops dead. Am I missing something? I figured the story would continue until he's dead.

My guess is you'll hear more about how their plan went later on, since Radovid is part of the main story with the war and all. But Geralt doesn't want to be involved assassinating a king so he's mostly gonna be on the outskirts of their plans.

Question for killing wraiths that may just be me being stupid.

I'm level 19 and still unable to damage level 10 wraiths with any relability (Jenny from the Block keeps kicking my ass, as does the Lady in White). I've tried Spectre Oil (whee), I've tried Yrden followed by Ignis and that seems completely ineffective, even on the occasion when Yrden will trap her in the circle. I read that Moon Dust is a useful bomb, but I don't have the schematic for that yet (although I have the schematic for Enhanced Moon Dust). I'm using a silver sword.

Am I doing something completely wrong, or did I just miss the schematic for Moon Dust early in the game and that would make these fights supremely easy?

I don't know why you can't damage Jenny in Yrden. How strong is your silver weapon? Are you using your silver weapon to fight them?

The only way is to swing at them when they're inside yrden's circle. They're skittish as fuck so you'll do a lot of maneuvering, but that's the only way. If that's not working your game is messed up.

Finally made it to Act 2 and Kaer Morhen. I sent Triss here, am I supposed to not be able to find her yet?

I don't think so. Not sure I ever got the chance to send Triss there though. I romanced her and then she kinda just disappeared.

You can literally choose to do the Witcher version of drunk dialing, aka try to use the Megascope to call some sorceresses over @_@ And then dressing up as chicks so as to not scare the sorceresses. Drunk logic! So amazing.

Got the light house scene, I am currently on the section where I am going around gathering people to help me. I assume she will be there afterwards. She is already ticked off the quest list for Novigrad.

I don't know why you can't damage Jenny in Yrden. How strong is your silver weapon? Are you using your silver weapon to fight them?

You know, the Bestiary said to trap them with Yrden and then use Ignis, which was not particularly effective. I'm not sure I actually tried to beat her down with the sword while she was trapped in Yrden. That might be the key. My silver sword isn't weak, something in the 200-250 damage range.

I'll give that a shot. I figured it was something stupid and easy. Thanks.

Agni isn't very strong unless you spec for it.

Also I'm gonna go on record and say this is one of the top 10 greatest games I have ever played. 90~ hours in now and I'm still going strong. No burnout. That never happens to me anymore.

Found a dead dwarf with a scar on his face in a "sky cell." Obviously meant to be Tyrion Lannister. Got a good chuckle out of that lol.
