Just finished the expansion. Man that was amazing. A little light on combat but the storytelling was so so good.

Just picked this up for PC. Does this play better with a controller of keyboard?

Hopefully my laptop can play it well enough on low settings.

Any advice for a first time Witcher player? Or tips for the game.

It plays very well on gamepad. Not sure if better but as simple as it gets.

Picks up all quests, find everything, experience the world as much as you can. Save often.

I am so glad I bought this game. It will take you to a magical journey from the start. One of the great games I have ever played. The open world is very rich and every quest is so much fun to do. The game give you freedom to make decisions which really alter the story ahead. I simply love every bit of it. I would definitely recommend it. I have completed the story and also completed the hearts of stone DLC. I would really live the devs to take it to a whole new level in witcher 4.

Retailers leaking that an enhanced edition is on the way, possibly as early as Feb 5th.

Previous games PC users who owned the game got the enhanced stuff free. So we'll see what happens here.

Wondering what they could include in the enhanced edition, maybe Super Turbo Lighting Mod (which the developers helped the guy with) or other popular fan mods. It happened with Witcher 2 when they included a fan made UI mod.

seems like the Enhanced Edition listings were errors, CDPR has made statements saying that no Enhanced Edition currently exists

1.12 supposedly coming today. No idea what it'll include but I assume it'll break all the mods again.

I was hoping for a fix to a glitch with the wolf school gear, but it's not listed in the patch notes. I'm in a weird scenario where I installed the DLC after my first visit to Kaer Morhen, and I can't interact with the chest that starts the first quest. The only fix I can find online is to go to a save prior to Kaer Morhen, but that was probably 40+ hours ago for me, so there's no way I'm doing that.

Sounds like the patch doesn't break STLM, but fucks up pretty much every other mod. Probably gonna delay it on Steam until most of my preferred mods get updated.

That's the one! That's what I get for not reading the whole article. Apparently the list I saw was just the highlights they picked out for the article. Glad to see that in the full list. I just finished mastering all the other schools over the weekend, so I'm pumped to start working on the Wolf gear.
