It was added in at the time of the GOTY edition.

    Oh okay.

Thats a great addition though. And might finally push me into starting that NG+ which I never did because I kept waiting on the DLCs.

Ah, I'm playing on XB1 so no fancy mods for me. It is the complete edition though so it includes some bonus cosmetic stuff like alternate skins for Yennefer, Triss, and Ciri. Since it's my first play through though I'm just gonna play it normally.

I'd definitely still recommend turning on enemy scaling. It's very easy to outlevel the main storyline, and just by the nature of the game you end up OP as fuck as you start to hit the mid 20s (depending on what build you're doing) even if you're playing on Death March.

Alot of the side content has better stories then the main quest and any of them involving central characters come into play for the later chapters (Keira, Triss, Yen, Lambert, Letho, Roche & Ves, Clan An Craite, etc)
I'm now doing the main story in Novigrad, but I'm picking up so many quests that are asking me to go to Skelliage, including one from Lambert that seems important. I'm hesitant to run off to a whole new area of the map though before completing the main story in Novigrad. Should I do sidequests first or does it matter (at this point) if I finish up the main story first?

I believe the game will warn you, but the first major point of no return is when you head to Kaer Morhan. When you eventually get a main story quest in Skellige that requires you to return to Velen, you'll know you're almost there. Up until that point you shouldn't have any quests that you actually have to worry about missing.

you're fine putting off all the skellege quests, even Lambert. they just might be hella easy by the time you get to them

Last night I finished the main story in Novigrad and rescued Dandelion. I fucked up and had to kill that one dude I was supposed to interrogate about the treasure (they didn't appreciate Geralt sassing them which led to me slaughtering their whole base, seems legit), and I'm pretty sure the bath house dude is gonna try to kill me later because of it. I wanted to make Triss my waifu but so far she doesn't seem to want any of this sweet Witcher D. I did throw some thugs out of a whorehouse though and those ladies definitely appreciated Geralt. So far I'd say my only two major complaints about the game are 1) surprisingly, the size. It almost feels TOO overwhelming with things to do and 2) the load times after death or reload for whatever reason are awful, feels like 2-3 minutes each time. I imagine those things are tied together.

Menge (and everyone else in the compound) always dies at that part, it's just a question of who kills him.

This was my biggest complaint, as well. I died to the final boss in Blood & Wine probably 50 times, no joke. Took me the better part of 12 hours over 3 nights to beat that fucker. Staring at the loading screen after every death was torture, and I probably spent a larger portion of those 12 hours waiting for the load screen than I did playing the game (poorly, obviously).

Had a funny glitch just now trying to do the horse race in Novigrad. It initially took forever to load, and when it finally did load, Geralt and Roach were underwater. The race automatically failed and I got the failure cutscene with Cleaver mad at me. So I reloaded an earlier save, and this time the race did load...except for my race opponents. Their horses loaded with no riders. So I just kinda trotted my way to victory by myself.

Did the Carnal Sins quest. It was really neat to see the detective side of Geralt come into play in a quest that wasn't a Witcher Contract.

Also, I screwed the pooch by not getting into Gwent until later. I failed the "Gotta Catch 'Em All" quest by, apparently, progressing the main storyline to a point where I wasn't able to go back to someone and win their exclusive card. Oh well. Far too long to restart the game at this point so I'll just roll with it. Feels bad man.

I don't think the tutorial did a very good job explaining how it worked and I got my ass kicked repeatedly at first so I just kind of ignored it until I could afford to buy more cards. But I enjoy it now that I have a decent deck. The music is pretty lit, I get fired up when the lady screams HEEEEEEYAAAAAAA

The Gourmet skill is way, WAY too OP. I turned on enemy scaling and had to remove Gourmet for the game to be somewhat challenging again.
