I too have high hopes but anyone who buys phantom liberty on day one, even first week I’d say is being foolhardy. CDPR has lost the benefit of the doubt in the consumer.

going back into the Witcher 3 for 20ish hours made me more excited, reminded me of CDPR at their best and of all the good to great aspects extant in 2077. have dear hopes for Phantom Liberty as well. i am a fool but will buy on day 1. Hearts of Stone + Blood and Wine earned them another chance from me.

Next gen version of W3 was a fucking trainwreck at re-launch, but they've since ironed it out. Hopefully since Phantom Liberty is largely an update to a game that's already quite sound from the technical/optimization standpoint they aren't gonna break it with the update.

CDPR is explicitly calling it an expansion (ie Hearts of Stone/Blood & Win/Phantom Liberty), so seems like it'll be pretty large scale.

I’m not looking forward to it selfishly because I played originally back on Xbox One and have since traded in that game and console so I’d have to start the 100+ hour adventure over to get back where I left it

if only the 1 remake was done by now for a full series playthrough as it is basically unplayable jank atm

alas 2 + 3 will have to suffice. might even go through the book series before if it's lookin like Songs of the Past 2027 then Witcher 4 2028.
