Aye, i do. I'll make sure to keep saves on PS+ then. I'll try switching out the HDD today in a last ditch effort before RMA'ing the console. Thanks for the info!

Didn't see it mentioned in the last few pages but I recently finished Knack. It's not a great game, but it really depends on your expectations going into it. I /thought/ it was supposed to be a kids game that was a retro-platformer to appeal to life long gamers like myself. None of that is right except it's retro in difficulty. The game is hard as fucking shit and cheats often, there's almost no platforming and what little there is is underused to a sad amount. I started on Hard so I probably had more trouble than someone who did it on easily definitely, but my interpretation after the first day was "one of the worst games I've ever played in 24 years of gaming." As the game went on a mixture of me getting better and the shitty parts of the game being behind you, it's a solid bargin bin game or if you catch it on sale for $20. If you're a trophy whore this game is brutal in that regards (I don't think anymore here is, so I won't bother divulging).
It's probably going to be free on PS+ early if not the first free game. If you can find someone selling it off for cheap, I'd recommend it and playing it on easy if you just want the experience (although the story isn't great, but I never expected a good one to begin with). Play on Hard if you want to feel like you're playing a game from the NES era. Don't expect a platformer or anything resembling Crash. I've never played God of War, but I would say it's a shitty Dreamworks version of that. I'll be beating it again in the next few days, so if anyone is interested in how fucking unforgiving the final boss is, I'll post a video of it and/or stream it.
Indeed took me 10 tries on hard mode but yeah it was fun
I agree and disagree. The dash mechanic was supposed to be integral to the core gameplay, but enemy AI would cheat and so dashing became less important than it should have been. I think had the game been tuned correctly, your skill with the dashing would have felt like a pay off in that fight and instead it flopped flat as a fucking rock.
Off topic of that fight, but the fact that Vampire/Brittle/Diamond/Sunstone/Massive/Dark Knack are reserved for this post game bullshit was such wasted potential; and don't even get me started on the necessary way to farm to get those forms in the first place. The various Knack forms should have been integral to the gameplay and how you approached the fights instead of running to battle arena to battle arena as normal Knack and occassional a not normal Knack that sort of, half assed how different forms should have worked. It seems like Knack is planning on being a franchise, so I really hope they take note of this game and make major improvements for a second. Shu has been very humble about the launch, and I hope that extends to Sony as a whole when handling this generation.

Nice of them to address the patch-label thing on PS4 but not Vita...Later today, the next system software update for PlayStation 4 (version 1.51) will be available. With this minor required update, stability of system software has been improved. In addition, minor refinements to elements of the system UI (such as clearly indicating when a user downloads a game and a game patch at the same time) have been introduced.
In the North American region, automatic downloads for system and game updates are enabled by default when PS4 is in stand-by mode. Once system software update 1.51 is available later tonight, your PS4 will automatically download it, enabling you to update quickly and easily.
Need to address these shit download speeds of everything. Takes like 2 hours to DL an 85MB patch for Killzone.
I downloaded the patch in like, 2 minutes.
Maybe its your connection.
Yeah the day one patch at midnight was sub 4 minutes for me. Contrast took the longest at that was at about 8 minutes.
Just lost my BF4 game save, due to a error that corrupted my game save.
#feelsgood
That sucks jmc. That is exactly why I have played all of about 30 minutes of that game. I am waiting on Dice to fix shit... and playing other things in the meantime.
Anyone want to buy a copy of Killzone for $45 shipped?
LOL wonder how many insect infested consoles they had to get to put that in the official docs
