I don't think Valve would commit this early to release something they haven't already announced for PC platforms. The only thing even on the horizon is DOTA 2, and they're not about to drop a bomb like Half Life 3 on Sony's stage.

As someone who would rather watch a gaming stream than any TV show, I am stoked for next-gen as a motherfucker. Way more than I was from Xbox/Ps2 into 360/3.

Yes! Streaming gameplay and being able to upload it pretty quick is damn impressive.

Streaming a fight or a couple of rounds of SF would be great instead of all the usual bullshit that comes w/ it. All in all, I'm ok w/ the sys and the potential it has. Their network sounds amazing if they can pull it off. Sad they didn't show more games but w/e, it's wise not to blow the load that fast.

Shit like The Witness and stuff is to just acknowledge that you can self publish games and what not.

Vita compatability is great, even though you don't get that R2/L2 buttons :/

Curious if they'll require your internet to be of a certain level for streaming. I'm just picturing a shitload of laggy fights because folks are stupid with their limited upstream otherwise and are fulltiming the streaming.

I see. The Dev Kit had two. I could see using two different ports actually being a good thing if the secondary one is for streaming but you could opt for streaming over wifi while playing over ethernet to reduce bandwidth usage though one

Consoles are optimized for gaming, unlike PCs, which have to be generic and able to handle any amount of crap running simultaneously (and windows, which is huge). They're generally built so that when you're playing games, practically all of the resources are available to the actual game, which isn't true at all on a PC. This is why specs alone don't tell you everything about capability compared to a PC; a console will run games better than a PC with the exact same specs.

8GB of DDR5 on a console is huge. For reference, the current consoles run on 512MB of DDR3 (and even that is split and shared with the GPU, rather than being exclusively system memory).
