Most of the people staunchly defending Dorner have a bone to pick with the LAPD and see his actions as a swift kick in the pants of an organization that is notoriously corrupt.

I don't think you'll be seeing many people supporting the fact he gunned down two innocent people barely connected to the source of his ire.

Again, they had said Grey OR Blue.

Look at the picture of the truck. You cannot see a damn thing through that (illegal, btw) tinting *IN BROAD DAYLIGHT*.

And, if you can't understand how 2 japanese half-ton pickup trucks could be confused, I'm not sure what to tell you.

Saying "I don't support it but I understand why he's going to kill innocent relatives that had nothing to do with his problem, because their father TRIED TO HELP HIM but didn't do it well enough..."

Makes you a pretty fucking shitty person.

If he was just going after the people involved, then it would be "understandable." It would make some level of sense psychologically.

    This shit is just sociopathology.

It doesn't matter what color the car is, the make is completely different. And, this might be hard for you to grasp, but you don't just shoot up a car that matches a description of a suspects vehicle just in case some one else owns the same exact car. This is apparently rocket science to you.

God forbid some one shoot an LA cop driving a Camry.

So you can't understand how those cops could possibly make that mistake, but you understand why this guy killed his defense lawyer's kid and her fiance.

    Got it.

Well I'm glad that a force that is supposed to be known for investigating was able to narrow down the color of a truck after riddling it with bullets and seeing it was the wrong one. Who needs detectives and stuff, let's just be like Will Smith in Bad Boys and shoot first, ask questions later. I'm sure noone will suffer in the process.

Did they shoot the Asian ladies after they found his burnt up truck? Cause it seemed around the same time. Also, LOL at justifying the bright blue truck getting shot.

It's not hard Plow. Like Church pointed out earlier, and despite the fact that it's fucked up, it's sometimes common to target the revenge target's family as part of the revenge. It's not common to mistake a truck that says FORD and F-150 on the back with a truck that should say NISSAN and TITAN on the back of it.

Yeap, that's exactly what I'm saying.

And understanding a case of mistaken identity is exactly like understanding a sociopathic murderous rampage.

Except that isn't whats being said.

For the most part people don't support gunning down innocents but his threat and actions against LAPD officers is where the real contention is. Can a corrupt system be fixed without spilling blood? Is it right to target ALL cops when many are just punchclock Joes? Will his actions result in any real change or be filed in under another loose screw? Is Dorner a victim of the corruption or just another delusional Starcade who believes that everything he does is right and anything the perceived enemy does is wrong?

This is the discussion at hand here and even if you handwave Dorner as a maniac you're still left with the reality that the LAPD is corrupt as fuck and is a national example of a bloated bureaucracy giving unqualified people badges and guns.

Many people also applaud Dorner because he satisfies a mental fantasy of making cops feel the fear they inflict on minorities when they harass people, rough people up and generally make life hellish for those living in the inner city. To see the cops in fear of one man who happened to be one of their own is karmic.

Seeing how you can't even read the lettering, I'm not sure how you expected the cops to at 5am.

And, of course, we all know that no search for a specific person in a car has ever lead to a very similar but not quite the same make/model as was originally suspected.

You can't look at the events that have happened directly, say you understand them as they've occurred, and then say that what you're understanding is how you think he should have done it.

The fact is that there are dead people who had absolutely nothing to do with it, and their only connection is through a person that tried to HELP him.

If all you're saying is "I understand what he's doing," then what he's doing is what you're saying you understand. Not some imaginary Spartacus you've made up in your mind.

Id expect a cop shooting to kill some one to at least be sure hes shooting the right person. Your headlights shining on the back of a car is enough to notice the difference in logos of a car.

I appologize for holding police to a high standard.

I think the issue that people have about the truck incident is that the two trucks really aren't that similar. The Titan is a noticeably larger truck than the Tacoma. When you had the much larger difference in color (bright blue Tacoma and black/dark colored Titan), people are much less forgiving.

    Look at it this way:

Can you legitimately understand how he came to the conclusion that his lawyer's daughter had to die?

And I don't mean the method. The method is obvious: lawyer lost suit, defendant who thinks the world is out to get him decides it was intentional, determines punishment should be the death of his family. (apparently because he also believes this stuff is why he doesn't have his own)

    That part is simple.

Can you draw the same conclusion, somehow?

Could you ever act upon it if it did?

If not, then no; you clearly do not understand, let alone agree.

If yes... seek help. Seriously. I'm looking at you, mr. antisocial that's trying to support his actions.

Are you being serious right now Plow? Are you saying the cops are completely justified in shooting every car that's blue or grey and approaching any of the possibly hundreds of targets on this man's list?

So Plow does that justify the cops shooting on innocent civilians whose truck isn't really that similar to the suspected truck in shape or color then? Because despite what you think they aren't that similar besides having 4 wheels and meeting the basic structure of a truck, 1 is larger than the other and the colors aren't even similar(1 is bright and another is not), so your night visibility excuse is poor.
