The game gets much harder after Castle of Satan, and that's the first wall players tend to hit. Monsters get roughly 50% more HP, and hit about 50% harder compared to before.

How much HP do you have? I bet the problem is that you're getting hit below 50%, after which you lose Liu Bei's bonus and you can't really recover after that.

If you must, pair with an auto-healer friend (Archangel, Amaterasu, etc.) to finish CoS. That opens up the technical dungeons and pengdra farming, and you can level up your team from there.

Attackers are probably the worst type for new players to build around. Even half-decent ones aren't farmable, and the combination of low HP and low RCV gives very little room for errors. They're kinda like end-game spike teams in that sense. If you can't 1 or 2-shot waves, you're almost certainly dead. Especially when Liu Bei loses his bonus after 50% HP, any hit is almost guaranteed death.

But yea, you're probably moving too fast and not leveling up your team. If you want, I can put up my Angel Lucifer (or you can find random friends), who should help you get through CoS. After that, you can use pengdras to level up your team.

And Vandole, I think Athena is a great +297 candidate, as long as you use her in the right teams. Her active isn't very useful in a general sense, but she's good enough to fit into a variety of teams (as well as lead her own), and you can always feed her away and farm another if you ever change your mind.

my athena is max skill.. that was a fucking nightmare. i'd never feed her haha.

i threw bastet in there for a stat stick to be on a certain hp threshold for descend challenges. I've actually beaten half of them with this team. I really need to level my apocalypse and max skill him.

oh I can one-shot every wave up to the boss... I have to slow myself down so my skills have time to build up. it's that damn Vampire where I get stuck; what one-shots his minions barely makes a dent in his HP.

Accepted you and put AA Lucifer up. Just load up your team with dark monsters and you should be fine. AA Lucifer's active skill will 1-shot the Vampire.

That guy is really good. I haven't been playing my D. Meta team much mostly because until very recently I wasn't able to Uevo her, and I wasn't able to use my Ronia for a boss burst with Hanzo due to team costs, but now that I got a Haku from a godfest and I have her Uevo, maybe I should work on her some more over Athena then. I pretty much have all the best D. Meta subs, only really missing a 2nd Haku and a Durga.
