I got 5.1%. I'll only bother if I might get dropped out of 10.

Soooo mostly Gala stuff and a wtf pull with Salamander. Atleast good Gala pulls, although I would have loved a Haku.

    I'm at 3.2% with 116,454.

Used my pentamax bastet and verdandi with an awoken ra sub.

I'm.... very surprised I managed that using my bastet as a lead.

just FYI, this Christmas REM is a bigger trap than normal. lots of people rolling entire packs of nothing but silver eggs. I know seasonal REMs are bad, but god damn that is awful.

as for myself, I had five rolls, all silvers, but one of them was Echidna herself who (if you couldn't guess from my sig) I really wanted so... I'm good.

so I started playing this earlier today, don't really know what I'm doing, any tips? and it said I could spend 500 pal points to spin the thing, is this good?

Ok, so when it comes to PAL points, always save them unless the event is enhance material carnival. Coincidentally that's what is going on right now. What you rolled is a monster used to skill up Hermes and/or a lot of EXP for a blue monster and good exp for a non blue monster. Those are called the metal dragons. There's little ones which are poop, high metal dragons which are ok, then king metal dragon which are good, then super king metals which is what you rolled which are awesome. There's a few higher ones. They tacked on abilities to help skill up harder to skill up monsters as well.

TL;DR Feed it to a good blue monster for mad exp.

PS: Don't roll outside of godfests and not all monsters in the REM are good. If you have any questions about what you have feel free to ask.

Yes, there's a 'Enhance Carnival' going on in the PEM (Pal Egg Machine). Those guys are used to feed to your main monsters. I think super metal dragons give 150k when fed to the same color (50% bonus, so off-color supers give 100k). King metal dragons give 75k on-color.

Also, save your magic stones (premium currency) until a godfest rolls around the REM (Rare Egg machine). Should be one on 12/31 - 1/1.

ok, do I just go through all the dungeons as a can for the time being? and eventually start getting decent ones through progression? or just level/evolve my starter a ton

** CAVEAT: THIS IS TOO MUCH INFO. PROGRESS AT YOUR OWN PACE AND ENJOY THE GAME! BUT IF YOU WANTED A BIT OF A BEGINNER'S GUIDE... **

    - starter is crap but will get you through the early levels.
    - save most of your magic stones and use them on the REM when there is a Godfest going on. it's ok to use a few to expand box space though.
    - you might want to ask here if the Godfest is good for you or not, because depending on your monster lineup some might be better than others.
    - never use the REM outside of a Godfest
    - save all of your REM monsters, unless you get duplicates. duplicates can be sold for MP (monster points) but for now you might want to ask here first because sometimes you really do want more than one of a monster.
    - never use special seasonal REMs (like the current Christmas one) unless you are ready to be disappointed. note that I disobey my own advice on this one; that's because I spend money on the game. if you're willing to spend money, some of this advice changes a wee bit
    - if you get Tamadra monsters from events, SAVE THEM. do NOT fuse them yet. they are used to unlock special skills for your monsters and you want to spend them wisely.
    - fusing a monster with the same skill gives a chance that the skill will level up. you don't need to worry about this yet but it's good to know.
    - most monsters can be evolved once they reach their max level. again, this isn't too important yet but oh it definitely will be before long
    - for now, save all of your PAL points for when the enhance carnival comes around, then feed those monsters for massive XP gain.
    - in the future once you rank up a bit and have more team cost to play with, you may want to start using PAL points on the evolution carnival instead. this is because some of the evolution materials for the really good monsters are very difficult to obtain for a new player - but you can get them for free from the evolution carnival! don't do this yet; you don't need the cards and they would just clog up your box. but this is definitely something to keep in mind.

other than that, basically yeah just keep going through dungeons and ranking up. honestly, the best monsters you get will be from the REM - which is why you want to continue to progress and earn magic stones. once you've got a handful of decent monsters from the REM we can give you a better idea of which ones you might want to focus on. but for now, the starters and the ones you get from dungeons are fine.

basically the entire game flow is:

find monsters that fit complement each other well -> level, evolve, skill up, and awaken (using Tamadra) those monsters. like... that's almost entirely what the game is about.

    oh, one other thing...

some monsters have a little + on them. this means they have a stat boosted (HP, Attack, or Recover). THESE ARE VALUABLE. why? because when you fuse that + monster into another one, it passes that + along. "cool!" you might say "but why do I care?" because think about this... what if, over time, you fused 297 (99 for each stat, the max allowed) of those + monsters to another one? why, that original monster would have a huge boost to each of his stats! gosh, that seems overpowered!" and it is. "but wait!" you say, "297 is a BIG number when I only see + monsters very rarely." that's true... which is why you want to be aware of it now. it's the sort of thing that seems meaningless now but later on you will be kicking yourself if you ignored it. (as for why I'm telling you this. because I ended up feeding off or - worse - selling like, dozens of + monsters before I realized how valuable they are. I will never get those + points back... ever lol).

    basic +egg rules:
    - if it comes from the REM, ignore the +. REM monsters are too valuable to be used for + fodder.
    - it it's from a dungeon on the other hand, fuse it onto a placeholder. so pick a random monster, like one of those cute little carbuncles, and fuse your + monster onto him.
    - doing this, you'll notice that the fusion cost grows as the number of +'s on a monster grows. now, this game gives out plenty of gold so you can ignore this if you like - but the best way around this is to use a little math. you can feed up to five monsters at a time, right? so picking a + monster, waiting until you have five more, and then fusing them all at once gives you a +6 monster - but you only had to pay the price for a +1 monster! on the same token, making six +6 monsters and fusing them all together gives you a +36 monster at the cost of a +6 monster.

does that sound like a headache? it kinda is, and it's ok to ignore the + thing for now. but maybe at the very least just file that information away, and if you end up thinking you're addicted to PAD it's something you can come back to. because in the end - like, a LONG time from now - you'll have your very own +297 monsters, and those are fucking awesome. like in that screenshot a few posts back; Pandora is +297 and Zaerog is +285. this means that Kamil literally fused 297 monsters with a + on them into his Pandora over time (or he fused them all onto placeholders, and then fused those placeholders onto Pandora). that makes her a lot stronger than she would be. don't worry about getting to +297; it'll be a long time from now... just don't throw those + monsters out either

Wait for a godfest and reroll until you get a Kali, bastet, or red Sonia if you want to play like a man.

Edit:kammi what was your score!? We gotta see who the "best" is!

LKali and Red Sonia are pretty outdated leads. I would aim for Kirin or Ra, Shiva and Bastet are decent choices too. If you don't want to spend any money, Yomi is the most non-iap friendly lead.

The problem with Yomi is that she's not good until Awoken, and it does take some effort to get that DIza and Tengu. I feel that the unconditional leads like the norns are probably better, cost aside. Even if you don't match their sub-colors on any of your cards, the fact that the leaders pack two bursts is a huge bonus for new players.

L Kali or D kali are the best subs in the game pretty much. Rerolling into one of them is just fine since they are so rare. This is only if you even really want to reroll. Idunn&Idunna/Ryune/Thor/Saria are also very good leads as well. For your first while, you'll pretty much just get a hard hitting friend and blast through early content and store stones for either a stacked GF or PCGF.

Quite honestly, now that I'm a ways into the game my thoughts on rerolling are: it's not worth it. I would reroll until you get a decent god but I wouldn't aim for anything too specific. Most people don't use the first card they rolled and if they do it's only because that card got new uvo's or awoken form since then. If you're starting from scratch, by the time you're running Mythical-tier descends the game will have changed a fair bit, and on top of that you will have rolled plenty of other monsters, which may fit alongside that initial roll or may form a far better team. And one last thought: when you first start you don't really know what type of team you want to play. Yes, Ra and Bastet are overpowered but not everyone enjoys running combo leads. Rerolling over and over until you get the perfect god only to find that, over time, you don't really enjoy that playstyle... eh. No fun.

I mean, when I rolled I got Ronia, and she was god-tier. by the time I would have been able to use a decent Ronia team she was meh-tier at best, though she's still a good sub. I also started during Kali's reign of terror and now LKali is outdated at best. You know what I mean?

There are exceptions. If you roll a DKali, STOP. Go with it. She won't be that useful for a long time but it doesn't matter, just take her and run lol

I agree that Norns are some of the best first rolls because they're very easy to build around, strong enough to get you through KotG, and they still serve as top tier subs on a lot of teams once you find a true endgame lead.

so I've been trying to get Norn Verdandi and rerolling is making me want to blow my brains out, remind which other ones are decent starters and if I get one of them I may just stop

The gold egg rates are insanely high with the godfest going on, and there are actually a lot of good cards that don't necessarily make good starters. With power creep, the first half of the game is actually quite easy nowadays, so I wouldn't stress too much on your first roll being a good starter.

There are too many to list, but here's a guide you can use in general, or you can always post here between rolls for more opinions. Would give you a break from the monotony of re-rolling.

my plan is to get a good card and then spend some money, but obviously once I pay i am not gonna reroll anymore, so I'm trying to get a good one
