Fuuu. I was so happy to see this thread, and now maybe cancelled? Bleh.
Sounds like the guy who tweeted that might be upset about the support the show gets though. I don't think AS promoted Season 7. It just appeared on Hulu one day. And man, I hope it's not gone because the last couple of eps imply some Bill and Ted style time machine shenanigans. It's literally been one good thing for me this year.
TL;DR - If you didn't know Venture brothers got a season 7 and it is AMAZING.
Edit: Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu~∞
Well, at least they finally resolved what happened to Jonas Venture before it ended. It's rare that there's a series with that level of plot contrivance that remains enjoyable.
Can someone wake up when 2020 ends?
Well that sucks. I guess AT&T didn’t see the point funding a show that takes forever to release a single season for. The fact they writing season 8 this year, it would have taken 3-4 years for it to release.
I too am bummed. However, has it really been 17 years?! I knew they were taking their time but daym. That's probably too long for what little there is to show for it. (Yes, it's all quality, but not having a proper conclusion will always mar this for me).
So I guess this means it'll be picked back up in a couple years, as is tradition.
Sounds like it was the suits at AT&T didn’t want to pay for the show. It does take them a while each season but the quality of the writing is worth the wait.
I think I was a few seasons behind and was probably just going to marathon this once it was finished eventually due to how long the gaps were between seasons, but now I'm just sad.I just can't believe such a great show wasn't even allowed to have a proper ending. Hopefully, they can work something out with Adult Swim, but after Metalocalypse, I don't have much faith.
People just need to watch the fuck out of it like with family guy, futurama and others. Watch the fuck out of it wherever it is for a couple years and make that network it's airing on a ton of money, someone will renew it.
I am several seasons behind, so I'm gonna binge it really soon. IGNORE ME.
It's funny how it's been on for 17 years and only had 7 seasons and then you start looking at other shows and you find that Sherlock has been on for 10 years with only 4 seasons, so VB has a better release rate by percentages. Let's just hope that maybe they had to "cancel" the show because of the pre-existing streaming rights on Hulu in order to allow new episodes to air on HBOMAX.
There is some speculation that they're looking to premiere it on HBO Max. If true I may actually switch to streaming.
Tweet is limited to who can view it, what did it say?
very early talks with hbomax for a final season
HBO people, I know you still scan here for the copyright stuff.
I would suck all the dicks for a crazy final season of Venture Brothers with an HBO budge and all the time they need to complete it.

I might just cry tears of joy
