Another meteor struck Cuba.

Seeing reports of this as well.

Lots of people are bringing up "size of a SUV" or "size of a car" but a lot don't realize that weight in materials like iron. I was just at the American Museum of Natural History yesterday and spent some time looking at the Cape York meteorite they have. The Cape York one is roughly that size, but it weighs fucking 34 tons. It's shocking how much they weigh for their size. Obviously it's densely packed iron but still, it's hard to visually compare. Things weighing 34 tons usually are much bigger than a car. These things being the size of an SUV would be pretty scary.

Can anyone actually link a reputable news source about the cuba story? I can't believe anything is going to fly that close to the mainland USA and not be picked up by nasa or any other government agency.
