I would like a picture book illustrating your explanation. Maybe a few pop ups here and there.I was thinking more along the lines of starting a thread titled "So, how would you want to be told?" regarding disclosure, how/when and all that.

Just in case this thread hasn't made it obvious, there's a lot of people who've become acquainted with you, however remotely, that wish you well. So there's that. Aside from that, I can't really add much to what others have said. Just keep up your maintenance and healing and eventually you'll be better than new.
If the vent thing happens sometime in the AM America time, I'll probably be drunk. That should be comic relief enough.
Yaaa ! Actually I fitted in fine with a few who was on vent when TERA first came out. Even if you don't talk it was oddly fitting/relaxing to listen to people talk either about the game or other things.
Plus it won't be public, if I was to do it it'd be an invite-only deal, probably from people who posted in this thread the most.
I'm in UK time so it'll be afternoon/evening for the USAs
Best by PM I would imagine.
I liken what Niro is feeling to post-partum depression. Sounds very similar in nature. I suffer from regular depression so I never had the post-partum aspect of it - in fact, my kids are one of the few things that can pretty much completely negate all of my depression and triggers. But I think that finding something new to work toward will help. And you aren't going to be healing forever, soon enough you'll be back at work. Keeping busy is probably the best solution.
I want to do the vent thing but definitely not until after this Boston thing is done because I'm listening to the scanner.
It does sound like that, but clinicians might call it a "post-goal depression" or simplify it to an adjustment disorder w/depression or mixed emotional features if there is a presence of anxiety. I'd add a specifier for post-op. Regardless of label though (I am a mental health counselor in NY) the important thing is to express it develop new goals for sure. Keeping busy may be good enough, but staying purposeful is more important. Niro, you've gone through something very complex in life and to have survived that is a big achievement. There are not many who would be able to truly understand your situation, but many more that can empathize and help you through it, myself included. You're a great person and are more courageous than most. You might consider celebrating your operation date as your new birthday every year![]()
AFAIK there isn't a BG forum ventrilo. If there is, I think it would be fun to chitchat.
I also lol'd. I was more curious just to see, from people who interact with me and especially those who don't, how and when they'd want to be told.
I appreciate all responses, but I really liked this one for some reason. You must be a nice person to talk to as a patient. Thank you for your perspective, and I'm trying to think of more goals than the ordinary health (weight loss)/wealth (job change and independence)/happiness (dating and getting married someday?) I think another goal is to visit my gay husband and take the time to decide if moving to Washington is something I should do (he tells me [and he tells me his friends tell me] to move there, because everything is super liberal and being post op isn't a big deal, I don't know how to believe that lol).
My old WoW guild may still have an empty Ventrillo server. I haven't hopped on it since D3 launched so who knows. If that's something we want to set up once this Boston stuff settles down, I'll look into it.
If you need a goal to look forward to, Niro, then lets fuck and be done with it. <3
I'd do some voice chat. I love new people. Never felt any reason to be wary of people on the internet mostly because the average person doesn't really give me a reason to.
You're welcome Niro!
My community's teamspeak is public and we get traffic from people here sometimes. It's 500 person so space is never an issue. I'd have to ask the admin if it is OK for general use. Play games with us though and no problem haha! Love voice chat!
always recruiting
Send nudes to Kuya, I hear he's always looking for more sex. I'm definitely adhering to a no-sex diet, my vagina seems allergic.
I'm only playing FFXIV (beta) now, and already have a LS with my gay husband. <3
I just had a derp moment, I thought to myself that I would definitely "need" another woman there, so it wouldn't be this strange sausagefest, then I realized I'm on the internet. Derp.
There is (or at least was) and I think the info could be found in the starcraft thread.
Also you keep fucking showing up in places I visit around the internet and it's wigging me out man. You're on the same page as me in the Duel Statistics load screen for Team Fortress 2 and just yesterday I was reading some random Yahoo article and I happened to glance down at the comments and there you fucking were. Stop stalking me bro.
Mandragora.I havent really been playing much (running around for a few mins, then alt tabbing lol), I'm still looking for where you find minions, my gay husband gave me a bad description because he stopped playing (after playing phase one a lot) and is waiting for phase 3. (Please tell me where I can find a little pet! <3)
NPC shop in the southern zone of Grid, near the center exit (since there's three) to the north half of Grid.
