    Something to do with
    Spoiler: show
lettuce, coleslaw, cucumbers, spinach, romaine, salad, radishes, broccoli and/or cantaloupe?

But I betcha e.coli would explain the cause of that UTI. Glad you're getting it cleared up now instead of ending up with perpetual infections.

I grew up in a medically oriented household, multiple relatives were nurses and the like, and there was an entire bookcase in the library at home growing up with medical textbooks that I read for fun.

Though in this case it's more personal experience talking.

    I might be dying.

Remember when I was prescribed antibiotics? I was given the go-ahead to take them Wednesday 6/29. The next morning I had what looked like bug bites. I was freaking out that we somehow had bed bugs in the house, so I washed everything and looked for clues. I looked the next morning, and it looked like there were more bites. I ruled out an allergic reaction, because the marks were not covering my whole body (systemic reaction), they were on my knee and ankle. Then that night, I started to notice more spots, including spots on other places on my body just popping up. I stopped taking the antibiotic Friday night. Saturday and Sunday it kept progressing, and was really itchy. Taking benadryl and using calamine lotion all day. I took pictures to document (and see the spots appear).

I have tree trunk legs, but that's the least of my concerns now. http://imgur.com/a/fp9kh

I went to the doctor today (not my PA, my appointment was rescheduled for 2hrs later with another doctor, my fault for arriving 15mins late due to bad traffic, I got the appointment that morning, 1.5 hrs ahead of time). She looked, asked questions (going through a lot of the same thought processes I was) but was stumped, because it looked like a lot of things (vasculitis), but lacked distinguishing factors of all of them to make a judgement right away. I have this expanding, itchy rash, but am otherwise healthy and without other complaints. She sent me to a nearby hospital to have a shitton of labs, and have me return so she could do a biopsy (this was taking up a lot of time and she had fallen behind on her other patients). Fun fact: urine collection post-op is kinda dumb (i.e. I urinated all over my hand and the cup), penis is easier. Also, the lidocaine they inject you with prior to the biopsy hurts like electrolysis on the lip, burns like hell. Anyways, sent home without answers, I have to go back next week, but she'll call me with the results before then. Also, no medication, she said continuing with benadryl and calamine lotion is fine. She's withholding prednisone (antiinflammatory) for now.

I also asked her about taking another antibiotic for the e.coli, and she said, basically, that it wasn't necessary, only if I was experiencing a UTI which I'm not. I might try a probiotic vaginal suppository or something after this is all said and done.

    Ihml.

Yeesh, looks similar to what my arm looked like when a dumbass doctor gave me penicillin even though my chart said i was allergic to penicillin. This was many years ago when i went to the ER. Only good thing is i didn't get a bill from the doctor lol. Went away after a few weeks. Anyway hope you get better soon.....for Lucavi's sake.

What kind of Antibiotics? Leviquin, the first and second times I had it, gave me horrible hives.

They couldn't link it the first time due to Shingles (The hives did -not- match the rash you get with shingles) and all the other medications I had been taking, and the fact that I was done with 8 of the 10 pills by the time they appeared and they went away fairly quickly.

The second time within one day I slowly started to break out, expanding from my torso.

if they were sore i'd say they could be an immune system thing, because it does that sometimes, but if they're just itchy (being sore from scratching doesn't count) i'm gonna go with medication reaction. most people react poorly to one medication or another. don't be too worried, even if it keeps getting worse. it takes a while for the body to flush stuff like that out and then settle back down to normal. just keep in touch with your doctor and try to stay comfortable. you'll be fine.

I woke up and I think I look the same as yesterday, maybe it just decided to stop. It's not as red, as itchy, or as warm to the touch as it was yesterday or any of the days before. Crossing my fingers that this isn't the calm before the storm (aka my skin falls off).

That's what I was hoping, that my body was slowly processing it (despite the unusual asymmetrical rash pattern), which is why it persisted (and got worse) after I stopped taking the antibiotic on Friday. I am hoping that this doesn't leave marks, I scar very easily and takes years (YEARS!) to fade. Thankfully some areas haven't been touched (anywhere above the boobs, butt, some of my thighs), and only my right leg is that bad, the rest is spots.

Keeping life interesting when you'd rather life start feeling normal.

Hopefully the adverse reaction will calm itself in time.

What you have looks very much like dermatitis caused by staph/bacteria (given the locales). Hopefully the biopsies turn up negative. Last thing you want is necro-fasciitis.

My wife had a reaction to amoxicillin that took 2 months to clear up after it was identified. Don't be alarmed that it isn't fading after 5 days. As long as there is nothing else from the biopsy it will get better....

This seriously puts a hamper on any bikini intentions Niro had for this summer though, rashes aren't sexy. Sorry girl.
