But the game was so bad that they didn't charge for multiple months.
Meh, besides the security token none of those are worth mentioning. The journal is just a blank mini book. The box is meh. And everything related to the game is worthless since 1.0 sucked lol.
It's just like, I tried to support them but the game was shit. Shouldn't they want people who paid for the game and knew the shitty game was shitty to test their rehaul of the game?
You'll get the digital content of the new CE and maybe something else for your trouble. If you've applied to Beta you'll get in anyway sooner or later.
I'd say people that got the game and played it deserve a higher priority wether or not they bought the CE at launch and never touched the game again.
Yeah. That's why you'll be able to play during phase four at the latest.
Your box can continue sit on your shelf next to your journal, your Onion Helm can continue to reduce your weakness time on Lv.1~10 classes in ARR, and your security token can continue to protect your account in ARR... none of this has anything to do with beta testing. All of the benefits you paid for, except for the week-early access, will be there if you choose to play the game.
Name the smallest thing you could have done regarding this game and someone will think that should qualify them to have beta access. The entitlement is out of this world.
I used my friend's buddy pass, got to level 6, and never logged in again! The LEAST they can do is guarantee I get to beta-test the new game!
When they started charging monthly again, it was basically an admission of "Ok the game really does suck. Will you pay for it anyways?" The people crazy enough to say yes are in.
Almost everything I said was intentionally over-the-top; after all, I want to be able to fit in over at the official forums.
I'm just jealous and bitter that I won't get to play tomorrow when other people do. I may have to steal a login from somebody to give it a shot.
I think the thing that makes me happiest is I know people who bought the game two months before servers shut down (against my advice) and got a beta invite despite not being Legacy.
I don't remember if Legacy benefits were announced at that time (~beginning of '12). If they weren't (which I thought was the case) then it was asking for blind faith payments.
I'm exaggerating on "crazy". People who cared paid. People who didn't left. Simple until Legacy entered the equation.
Did Taj get into the Beta? Any chance, in hell, he'd help make the game better, or at least, unleash on the OF posters?
It's not like I follow any of that at all. But as far as I know, he has a court order that he his not allowed to touch any products made by Square Enix. I don't know if that had a time limit...or if it was even the case at all.
The particulars are rather unclear, but I think it's a pretty reasonable assumption he's under a restraining order after the Friend List Plus fiasco.
wow I don't..
lol I get it. We're trying to emulate the OF right?
..Right?
I've wondered what happened to Taj, those were some epic days indeed. I had no idea it went (supposedly) as far as a court order. That's just crazy.
And people seriously need to chill out about beta access and entitlement. I cannot wait until the game goes live again and BG starts moderating some of the stupidity out of this place.
Anyone else going to quit the game if there's no gay marriage?
