Get to 14, kill mobs or help folks til 15, do five Tam-Tara and you're a good ways through 18, finish the new quests that unlocked at 18, finish your combat log rank two, boom, Lv.20.

Talk to Yoshi P's Wandering Minstrel dude, boom, 25. Gang up with a buncha folks at 25 to take out mobs down in South Shroud and do the FATEs that pop up down there, my friend got 14,000XP from a random FATE that was 6 levels over him. (o.O )

Incidentally, the latest quote from Beta denizens. Not making this stuff up. >_>

I guess the days of spending a full 8-10 hour day grinding on crabs outside of Bastok is no more.

It really wasn't difficult. Between implemented progression quests, main missions, class quests, FATE, the hunting log, levequests, and temporary beta provisions I never ran into any roadblocks. There was only one point where I needed to do maybe 10-15 levequests to make the jump from 16-18.

If you are running out of quests, or you are finding it difficult to level, then quite honestly, You sir, do not know how to play games. The only times where leveling is a grind, is when doing dungeon runs from 15-18/25-30-35. Even then I'm sure you can grind out Hunting Log to fill up your bar at those odd levels where you supposedly say you ran out of quests. (The main cause of this Questless argument is the fact that most beta tards can't use their eyes to find more on the map.) If you don't know how to figure out certain Simple things in life, life therefore becomes much more of a hassle.

I have to say... Dungeon grinding is the only way to party exp in ARR.

If a zone was overpopulated they tended to get bugged out and not work actually.

It happened yesterday too. I had no problem with the first leve as I logged soon after the servers went up and did it fast, but I know a lot of people had problems. I also tried to do some leve's in Bentbranch and 4 out of 5 bugged out, so I moved to another, less populated zone and everything worked fine.

Edit: Well, to clarify, I'm from EU so the beta was mainly sunday for me and I didn't play on monday. If you refer to the first day of the 'second part' of tests, then I guess that could be true.

Responded with particulars in PM. NDA'd response is no essential leveling content was missing or malfunctioning in the process of leveling my first class as far as 26.

It's basically saying the game will pull a 1.0 redux if they do not include full voice acting.

As long as we can get Yuri Lowenthal to play Eagleheart Hellsbane, I'm good with that.

Or, if Mr. Lowenthal is busy, Patrick Seitz, Blazblue's Ragna the Bloodedge, could voice my character as well. (O.O ) I'd just have to... remodel my persona a little.

I could live with that. JYB needs to be in on this too, though whom he would play at the moment, I know not.

Oh, and Laura Bailey to do a reprise of Lust for my in-game love interest. Or just as my love interest. Both work. o.0

EDIT: Y'know what, just bring the whole Blazblue cast in with JYB/Yuri L./Laura B. and I could actually live with the idea of voice acting everything in the game.

I don't want to grind forever (like old FFXI)
But I don't want to have all my jobs at cap lv in 1-2 weeks (like new FFXI)

Hunting Log Chapters 1 and 2 are the reason I went from 13 to 15 and start questing again. Best new feature is that thing for sure. That, and being able to get credit for claimed mobs, haha.

Isn't that where ARR is?

Leveling is a lot slower in ARR than V1 where you'd go 1-15 in an hour, but not crazy slow XI speed. It took me a good 11 hours to go from 1 to almost 16 but that was without leves.

I don't care how fast leveling is as long as it's fun and doesn't feel grindy.
