They only look at IP's now. I logged in from work to download the update on my second computer and it locked my account. The unlock process took all over 3 mins.

yea they use to lock my account every ofther week for some reason. Tho it was only me playing but i play from my cellphone which ip adress changes time to time and from home.

I think that's correct, as I tried to download the Phase I update at work, and I never got locked out.

yup, I believe anyone that got 1.0 will be entered automatically for phase 3, and then there is phase 4/5? that is open beta.

Indeed, everyone will get in beta at some point, even if it's just the phase 4 open beta.

Phase 3 is all about testing out the imported data from 1.0, so they kinda have to let 1.0 people in.

Should be that, if you bought/played 1.0, then you'll get Beta 3 access.

But looking at the application form right now there's no options to let them know you played before. Unless it matches the emails?

I guess I'll just have to assume I got really unlucky until phase 3 hits. If I'm still not in by phase 3, I guess I'll just rage then. :/

If you've played before you probably don't need to apply to get in phase 3, just like legacy didn't have to apply for phase 1.

yeah i was surprised to get info on the beta in my mail today as i haven't been paying for it at all and wasn't even sure that i qualified for a legacy account. apparently i do! so... now im trying to download 9gb via 3g(@20kbps-50kbps) before the 4/12 test

you don't have to have legacy status to get invited... If you never paid you definitely do not have it.
