On the forum main page... after following the link... the forum subheading is like size 25 font and says "Read this first.." and then immediately says "click here to DL the client"

Dunno how ppl have a hard time finding it

Oh, figured it out. I guess I had to reactivate my FF14 service to be allowed to use forums. >.> How bizarre, but whatever. Well, if anyone else gets this problem, there you go.

Well, to be fair, the last time I checked, there were about 3 different links that said something similar to 'read this first', though only that one is supersized.

The link in the email takes you to another page with links to register the code and then to tells you to go sign up on the forums. I didn't have time this morning to check out the forums where the download instructions apparently are.

And I do have a nasty habit of skimming the first part of an email and skipping the rest...

Well, you've found the issue. Links are also easily noticeable.

Anyone know if this is one of those "phased" mailings like some beta's have done in the past? ie... should I stop repeatedly checking my email so I stop getting more depressed?

Still nada, orz. Went back and double checked that I even sent in the application and sure enough the confirmation email is there. I should have gotten my friend to sign up as well.

Just noticed I got a beta acceptance and did all the registration stuff, but when I go to the forums and log in I get redirected to some glitchy looking forum main page and I still don't seem to be logged in, anyone know what the hell this is? I checked the website for info but can't find anything relevant, is the site just weird right now or is something else wrong?

Edit: wait, nevermind, just noticed its supposed to be I guess the forum registration page I'm directed to, and within all the glitchy text it says registration is currently disabled by the administrator. bleh.

Edit2: Now I'm getting this message. "Since the valid character data is not present on your Square Enix Account, you are not allowed to log in to the forums.

Even if the monthly fee is paid and a valid content ID is available, a valid character data needs to be present.
Once the character is created, you will be eligible to log in to the forums. However, it may take some time until the character data is reflected to the system."

I don't know what the hell is going on now, hoping its some temporary idiocy on the part of the website, I did all the registration stuff right, not exactly sure how I'm supposed to create "valid character data".
