Just a heads up, the scores are still fucked up from when I mentioned it last night. My score shows as 435 when it was originally posted as a 4126. I can correct my score but that means someone else probably has my score due to the fucked sorting. It also means a lot of other peoples are wrong as well.

So ran the benchmark a few more times while tweaking my system. My original score with an i5-2500k @ 4.1 and my gtx 670 was a score of 7772.

I upgraded my drivers from 310 to 314 and my score dropped to the 7500s. I ran again right after and my score increased to 7802.

I then OC'd my gtx 670 from gpu boost 1137 to 1359 and mem clock from 6000 to 8000. Got a score in the 7500s. Again, immediately ran again and I got 7809.

No idea why the fluctuation of scores.

Double post since it was at bottom of last page and want to make sure that those that are managing the sheet see this.

I have an older i7 930 OC to 3.3 with a stock Geforce gtx 470. Ran it about 4-5 times all with a score between 4916-4954. This is with an old driver 306.97.

I then upgraded the driver to the latest 314.07 and even tried the beta driver 313.96. Ran both of those 4-5 times and every score was spread all over from 4500-4700, still much lower then this old Oct driver I had on there. To test I installed the old driver back 306.97 and score went back to 4954. So for me it seems the latest driver is not the best for me.

Don't get em wrong i would rather a Titan over a 690 but not because its stronger, more so because its the strongest SINGLE card solution out there and i have never been a fan of SLI/Crossfire driver issues.

It's a single GPU solution that's just about as powerful as one of the highest end dual GPU solutions out there. There's nothing more efficient than that on the market atm. A single GPU isn't subject to the scaling issues and poor software support of multi-GPU setups to nearly the same extent.

To those of you getting in the high 8000s into the 9000s, what's your GPU running at? What model/manufacturers? Getting ready to disown EVGA
I am using MSI Power Edition. I have been advising people away from EVGA for a while but people are always swooned by their warranty. If they make a good product, you shouldn't need their warranty. EVGA cooling solutions suck. They use reference style vacuum cooler on almost all their cards. ASUS > MSI > Gigabyte IMO for Nvidia cards. Depending on the model, one may be better than the other from those three.

I've never had good experience with OC headroom on my EVGA cards :\ I like their customer service but other than that I'm not very happy with them. I think next time I buy a card it'll be ASUS or MSI, probably ASUS since they make all the coolest shit (MARS, ARES)

I had this same experience with my GT 650M, stayed on 306.97 (I tested 310 too with same results as 314).

I'm running a SAPPHIRE AMD Radeon HD 7970 3 GB OC Edition at 1125MHz GPU/1575MHz memory. I've overclocked using AMD OverDrive and that is as far as the tool will let you overclock. Honestly there isn't much need for me to push it further with 3rd-party tools as I'm maximized on realizable performance. The game doesn't go higher than 60fps, so there no reason to go beyond where I'm at.

Hm. I'm guessing that my GPU is my bottleneck. For my testing purposes, I ran the benchmark off my ram disk to ensure the only things that would hold it back really were CPU and GPU.

I've got a GTX680 4GB card en route, we'll see if it handles any better. Looking at the GDocs spreadsheet, it seems that everyone with higher scores is using the newer generation of cards; be it AMD or NV. I'm long overdue for an NV card, so we'll see how it does in relation.

Edit: For ease of not clicking on spoilers and / or scrolling, system specs: Intel i7-3960X, ASUS Sabertooth x79, XFX 6950 2GB, & 32GB Corsair Vengeance RAM. As earlier stated, a ram disk was used to run the benchmark ( though typically I have setup instead ram caching on my Samsung F4 HDDs. Intel 520 SSD for boot. ) TBF, the difference between using a 2GB ram disk and the 16GB ram cache on the F4s was minimal ( less than 50 points MAX ).

By the way, shiftwindow does make the benchmark (fake) fullscreen, if you want to for the pretties.
