    Ahh right...

The OC settings for Precision X:

+25mV Overvotage. (Even at +38 it should be safe, BUT do it at your own risk!)
    Power Target 106%
    Temp Target 82
GPU Clock Offset +89 (for me any higher will just crashed the driver... waiting for a new driver)
MEM Clock Offset +323 (was able to do +480~ but 323 was working best for some reason)

Fan speed can be set to auto, but I just leave it at 70-75%. Temp never went over 61C.

GTX 780 ACX already OC'd with stock clock at 967mhz. With the +89 the GPU Clock was running at 1200mhz.

    Gulk, you were right.

I finally stop being a bitch and OC'd my CPU and GPU. I have 670 Power Edition OC'd +45 core +550 memory. 3770k OC'd to 4.2ghz when OC'd. No voltage adjustments on anything. Sent the 770 back. 670 never broke past 70C. 770 stayed above 74C pretty often.

    770 Stock w/ 3770k Stock (Don't remember which drivers, probably 320.18)
    1080p: 7806
    1440p: 5523

    670 OC w/ 3770k OC (Driver 314.22)
    1080p Windowed: 8171
    1080p Full Screen: 8288
    1440p Border-less Window: 5504
    1440p Full Screen: 5936

    670 OC w/ 3770k Stock (Driver 314.22)
    1080p Full Screen: 8074
    1440p Full Screen: 5808

    670 OC w/ 3770k OC (Driver 320.18)
    1080p Windowed: 7574

I am going to run my CPU at stock. The gains are too minimal for the added heat.
The 306.xx drivers gave me way better scores, but I don't have them anymore.

Going to test the difference between 320.12 and 314.22 in beta tomorrow.

Adajer is right. The OC'd CPU only give you minimal gains and doesn't really add much. In my case, jumped form 4.0ghz to 4.8ghz only gained about +250...
I was able to OC'd 4770K to 4.8ghz with the highest temp reaching 78C, but a better option is to wait for newer drivers.

Here's the new test at 1920x1200. Still using 320.18.

Chio, what does your GPU temp get to while running something like furmark? The ARR benchmark only puts my 770 at about 68 degrees, running furmark caps it at 80.

    Hey Izzy,

I just did the 15mins preset FurMark for you and here's the temp. (Keep in mind that the fans only running at 75% with OC'd settings). The max temp for FurMark (68C) and ARR benchmark(61C).

    http://i39.tinypic.com/2lljecx.jpg

Also my ambient room temp is a bit high... damn electronics... about 32C (~90F)... Even the water temp in my aquarium reads 82F LOL... no heater needed. Winter [Can I have it?]

I had heard the 780 runs much cooler than the 770, that's why I'm a bit worried. Every review of the 770 I've seen has it capping it's temp at 80C, which is exactly what mine is doing, so I guess I shouldn't be too worried.

Bah only 4500 with 2x 6870s stock. Does the benchmark make use of Crossfire/SLI? Either way I need to upgrade! Might get a gigabyte 7950 since I hear the MSI's run loud and hot

The 780 does the same, but you can manually adjust the cap as well as adjust your fans curve to keep the temps lower than 80 to allow the boost/oc to keep up and not throttle.

Yes the stock cooler is awesome. I decided to go wth the stock over the acx due to having a small case, since it does not blow air back into the case and allows for better temps if I decide to SLI it, its pretty amazing and so quiet. Its not as fast ast the ACX, but on default, non oc settings I get 9k+ on the bench.

Yeah, it's very apparent. My curve keeps the video card maxed at 80 degrees, but my 5870 never got this hot, nor did my 7970 when I had it. I might get an aftermarket fan for funsies.

Yes, the 780s definitely did great with their new cooling. Moreover, no regret on 780 lol and got another ACX in box ready to be SLI when it's time.

The Precision X also did an excellent job with their improves auto fan(s) settings.

I was testing the Phase 3 Beta game play and the average in game FPS is around 100s at 2460x1500. In town where a bunch of people FPS dropped to about 87 FPS.
