FFXIV ARR Benchmark Scores: Now with Character Creation

It doesn't support SLI yet.

That said. I just ran it on my 780 and only got an 8300 with a 3770k at stock.
I noticed my GPU usage never went past 70%. Am I bottlenecking my 780? I didn't think a 3770k would bottleneck it, but that must be the case.

What specs is the rest of your rig. like ram, OS, drivers? Do you have a stock 780? Also one thing I did learn is to use a manual fan curve. Using the stock settings always pushes the card up to 80 degrees then throttles usually. Using a fan curve you can keep the temps lower allowing for max performance.

I get 10k + with a 4770k at 4.2, 780 SC with stock cooler. using windows 8.1 drivers.

I did notice that my BIOS reset when I installed the card earlier. Maybe I hit the reset button somewhere. Everything seems to be in order though, after I fixed the clock.

if you are running at that resolution then your score is good, run it at 1080p and see what you get.

That IS what I got at 1080p lol. GPU usage wont exceed ~70%, so I am thinking CPU bottleneck.

I just redownloaded and reinstalled the 320.49 drivers since my previous install was with my clock messed up. Going to restart and run it again.

well you have a good cpu I dont think you should be getting that low honestly even at stock.

I would honestly think its the driver. I'm using 326.01 which seems to be only for windows 8.1 preview. It did add like 4-500 points to my previous score with the 320.49

Same score. IDK what my issue is. Going to OC to 4.2 GHz and see what it does. I never saw it hit 96% usage. It stayed in the mid 60s mostly. 74 was the highest it got to. Idk why most of the first half of the run is missing in the graph either. Vsync is off. Running on SSD.

Runs at 1071 boost clock (default max). Did not adjust any clock or voltage settings.

Overclocked 3770k to 4.2GHz and got 8801





Going to try the 320.18 drivers.

Edit: 8412 with 320.18 drivers.

8878 with 780 OC'd +125 on Core, +425 on memory

I am 100% sure I am getting low scores due to not getting 99% usage in the benchmark. I ran other benchmarks, like Tomb Raider, and stayed at 99% the whole benchmark.

Why I am not getting 99% usage? I am guessing drivers. I could have a bad card, but Idk.

In order for my GTX 780 ACX to reach the score of 10,902 running at 1920x1080 my CPU/GPU was at max. 4770K at 4.8Ghz and GTX 780 ACX +89 Core/389 Memory. 320.49 BETA drivers.

The OC'd CPU between 4.2Ghz, 4.6Ghz, and 4.8Ghz gains minimal scores which range +~150-270 for me.

The system running under Windows 7 Pro. However, according to Tokiwaki, running with Windows 8.1 can give you an additional +~500 with Windows 8.1 drivers than I can definitely go over 11K. But I don't feel like installing Windows 8.1 just to do the benchmark lol.

Unfortunately there's no support for SLI at this time. I do have another GTX 780 ACX ready to be SLI when that option is available.

New beta drivers are out from Nvidia. These apparently are the same (or similar) to the ones put out recently for win8.1 preview. Got a 300 point jump on the gtx 760.

The new drivers defintely helped my score. Went from 8k to finally breaking 9k with my 780.

Got 9051. 9668 with 780 OC'd. GPU usage is still hovering around 60-75% instead of 99% though. And the drivers wont let windows aero work.

I would clean up your drivers and re install from scratch.
