I also have a heavily overclocked/watercooled system, and the 470's are overclocked.
I sold my liquid blocks for the 470's when I bought the 680 though.... Cant run the clocks I used to... I'm only @ 810gpu/1720memory

I will be keeping my 680 though, I'm "in line" for the EVGA Step up program for a 780.... hopefully I can clock it high enough with liquid to beat out these 470's....

On the downside, the 2x 470's are pulling something like 800+ watts... while obviously the 680/780 will pull alot less then that!

I see. yea my friend has that one the one with the acx cooler, almost went with that one myself, comes with the highest stock overclock(well now the classified does but not buy much). Evga OC'ed it high enough you can't really push it much further nor would you really need to.

EVGA is really good about the clocks, but they limit the voltage that you really can't hurt it anyway.... I suppose that has to do with the killer tech support and them rivaling Walmart for taking ANYTHING back...

My EVGA 680 doesn't break a sweat at less then 60*c @ max voltage (vbios hacked).

If I wasn't trading it in, there would be a hardware level voltage mod on that thing.

I would never pay for an overclocked version, can do it all yourself with a little know-how

Yea it's why I went with the Asus directcu II 780, great cooling, overclocks higher than any other 780 and only 10 bucks more than reference! Though it sells for like 700-800 on amazon it's 659 on newegg and sells out often but they always get more in every week or so.

Having trouble with my girlfriends desktop. It's an AMD A8-5500 3.2GHz Quad with a Radeon HD7560 and 8GB RAM, but she's getting about a 1500 on standard settings on the benchmark. I've updated display drivers as well as looked for any updates for the A8. Anyone have any ideas on how to improve score short of replacing parts?

Kind of pointless without including your system's specs. Need to know what you have running under the hood!

The Radeon 7560D is integrated into the AMD A8 CPU, which is just not going to get the job done. You need a proper, discrete video card. If you've got about $150 ($135 after MIR) to spare, the AMD HD 7850 should suit you very well.

What are your clocks at? You have a lot of headroom left with that setup. I can almost hit 10k on max @1080 with a 570 and 2500k.

Edit: Also why are you running with custom settings?

Appears the motherboard does not have a PCIe 3.0 slot. Anyone have opinions on the MSI N560 GTX-TI?

You can use a PCIe 3.0 card in a 2.0 slot with almost no performance loss.

If you wanna look at the tests yourself. 3.0 obviously does perform a bit better, but in most situations, it's completely negligible.

I trust you, but thanks for the link. I've fallen off keeping up with parts over the last few years. Last time I did a build was 2009.

It's a couple generations old at this point, so I'd try to aim a touch higher.

Something like this ASUS GeForce GTX 650 Ti will run the game pretty well, and I've had only good experiences with Asus' cooling systems. Very quiet and should do well. It's $150 but there's a $15 rebate card.
