My modem broke down on friday so my internet and home phone was down. called and they said since the phones were down and there was a child in the household, they are obligated to fix it within 24hours (by sat 4pm) and they'd call within that time to confirm when they'd be there.
24hours passed and nothing, so I call and it turns out they didn't even schedule anybody to come out at anytime and so then they said the earliest they could get someone out was monday between 5pm-7pm. Now, they make an automated call to a household the day before or the day of the appointment to verify that the appointment is correct and since my home phone doesn't work, I tell them to make sure they call my house phone. Sunday comes along and they try calling my home phone (I only know this because caller id shows up on my t.v. and that still works for some reason despite my phone not.) So I have to call them up again and tell them that I need to confirm my appointment which they do.
They come out on monday and fix the modem and everything works again. Tuesday at noon, I find that my internet doesn't work now, but my phone does. I call and have to schedule another appointment for someone to get out here, which thankfully they can make a wed 5p-7p
appointment. Between tuesday noonish to wed 5pm, I get three different calls asking to verify my appointment and I'm willing to bet if I missed a single call they'd have cancelled my appointment. Dude gets here and he checks everything and turns out that guy who was there last time, when he made changes to the cables outside the house, he fucked the wires up somehow (not sure how, I wasn't there personally for that appointment) and he assumed that's why the new modem broke.
