Now if only Capy would do a 180 and put Below on PS4, then I would truly be happy. I am pretty happy that they pulled their head out. I am shocked they did though, but I have to think that once they really saw how ass stomped they were getting in pre-sales and general feedback, well...yup. I guess those polls pulled a bit more weight than the ones that told them their ideas were going to work in the first place.
Still not excited about the Kinect, but this is a step in the better direction.
Below is only a timed release I think? It may not come to PS4, but I thought he said on that live giant bomb thing it was only timed on X180.
LOL.
RIP sharing/selling digital games, and hooray for disc-in-tray requirements.
I was kind of looking forward to games moving into the next generation (you know, along with music and movies and television) but I guess not.
It's now a $500 TV tuner to me, and PC will still be way better for gaming. Shrug
No shit? That is great if true. I would play it on Steam too, if it came to that. I must have missed that part, I am going to go back and watch the part with Capy on if the GB site ever recovers from getting slammed for breaking this news...
Steam is potentially allowing sharing of digital games based off some lines found in the recent beta update. If the tech was there to do it in the first place, I don't see why MS couldn't explore it later with digitally purchased items (obviously can't on physically purchased items).
On a side note, I wonder if this has any serious consequences to any of the games being made or will cause any hiccups in production. Didn't they originally claim it was built from the ground up around being always on? Wouldn't that cause a delay if they're going to have to remove these features assuming they were telling the truth (please humor me); curious as I know nothing about console development/manufacturing and what goes int it.
It was on the Day 3 podcast. I believe Capy was the first set of guests on it. Twitch stream is working if you wanted to watch it now: http://www.twitch.tv/giantbomb/b/416674255
Built from the ground full of bullshit. I wonder how long after launch that they decide they need to drop price/Kinect to continue playing catch-up.
Still $500, still shady with all the other restrictions unchanged, still below PS4 and WiiU on my plan-to-buy list.
So a few questions for people.
1) Do you think (I don't know that they have talked about it yet) that MS will mirror PS4 and move Netflix, Hulu, etc. outside the paywall of Gold?
2) Out of the issues, some now dead in the backtracking filled gutter, how big is no BC to any of you? I have long since felt like we were lucky as hell to have it outside of Nintendo handhelds in the current scheme of things. I ask because I have friend that feels strongly about it, and it is the one thing that is keeping him from flipping back to the X Bro One side of things.
(Thanks Taco, watching that now!)
So they pull a Leroy and do a 180 and the same agitating niggas come back in here again, to post more pics about how they did a 180?
I mean its a foregone conclusion that you'd be stupid as shit to not get a PS4, but how many of you agitators in here were and are realistically in the market for anything Xbox does? Rata comes to mind since he hates Microsoft as a whole and supposedly everything they stand for. Ironic because I remember him begging me for a job there every few months for about a solid year and a half. Payed for my PS4 and am on the fence about buying this console as it stands, but prob will since Ive done that in every generation. I will say though can we not have 50 pages of faggotry and images from people that have zero interest in this shit.
At least let a nigga make up his mind first. See an insightful post and have to weed through 3 pages of memes to find a goddamn reply. Fuck that noise.
It's unfortunate that BC is not available, but it makes sense - the more complicated systems get, the more difficult they are to emulate. I don't totally understand why the software emulation available on some PS3s isn't ported to PS4 so at least your PS1/2 library is playable, but I get why you can't play 360 on your 180 or PS3 on your PS4.
Oh man this is fan god damn tastic. Everything about the Xboxone has been like the greatest show I've ever seen, and it just keeps on giving. In reality I think this is going to be a case of to little to late for a large part of consumers, but maybe now it'll fail a bit slower.
