No live-stream for real reasons. XBOne architecture is still not fully complete. Latest version of the SDK a couple weeks ago dropped performance by 15-20% across the board. NOW BEFORE YOU GET MAD AT ME XBOTTLES(sic) this happens ALL THE TIME in console development and it will eventually be fixed but no chance for an early october release or...

... certainly not for all 21 countries. Localization is absolute 100% BS. Period. TRUTHFACT. It's an excuse nobody with common sense would consider. Look at the countries dropped. Cross reference against languages spoken, official and otherwise in said countries. I said yield issues 2 months ago and the chicks have come home to roost. [Knock ons for launch title, I Smartglass?], etc... instead of 180s one-coherent vision. Paying the price now.

late October launch for PS4. Sony SDK is ready. You can basically master-to-final right now. Today.
truthfact #4
If you thought people were mad about Bayonetta going sequel-exclusive to Wii-U, you'll be somewhat unhappy about what MS is money hatting with Platinum. Other Japanese devs are in play too, but Kamiya-town is the ONLY one I am solid on. Game is NOT for north america or europe, by the way, which makes no sense but whatever.
truthfact #5
Bigpark nuked a game. It was a MOBA. Dead-dead-dead now. The whole studio is focused on TV services! All the best talent went to Black Tusk or left MS entirely. Rare is still Kinect focused, no matter what else you've heard.
truthfact #6
New indie publish policy is not set yet. Post launch.
truthfact #7:September surprise early.
Apologies in advance. Everything I saw over the last 24 months was that there was no chance of a kinectless SKU. Solid-concrete dicision, as firm as beach-volleyball buttocks, no matter what other changes have been going on around here.
... well about that,
Whispers of a kinect-optional (not in-box) SKU early next year, March/April. Enough smoke now that I didn't want to wait until September to say it. Launch number fallout will play its part.
Ass-storm incoming.
No stream ever or just on launch? If ever, looooool.

Rumor: EU Version will include a copy of FIFA 14http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/fifa-...reveal/0120326Microsoft has turned to Electronic Arts in a bid to spark interest in Xbox One, MCV has been told.
At Gamescom tomorrow, an Xbox One/FIFA 14 tie-up will be announced in a bid to win over European gamers, according to two senior games industry sources. The bundle will still retail for £429.99, the same price as the Xbox One base unit.
The move is designed to make Xbox One appear better value for money as it currently retails for £80 more than PS4. FIFA 14 has an RRP of £54.99.
We checked with EA and Microsoft, who both said: 'no comment'. But we should know all the details tomorrow morning.
FIFA is the biggest game in Europe - FIFA 13 sold 3m copies in the UK alone over the last year – so the deal would make sense. And is a potential coup for Microsoft.
It would also be a show of commitment to Europe after the platform holder disappointed consumers by announcing that some markets would have to wait until 2014 to buy Xbox One.

MS workers quoted as saying "Err thanks, but I already pre-ordered my PS4..."
They really made an employee only version and then made an ad for it? Wat. Am I missing something?
Is that just for like, corporate people?
Is this why they closed their pre-orders at 300k?

The Xbox One might a little harder to find than expected when it launches later this year. China’s Economic Daily News reports that Microsoft is having yield issues with Xbox One components and that it may cut its initial planned shipments of the console from 7 million to 6.2 million. We already know that Microsoft has delayed launching the Xbox One in eight different countries so news of production issues isn’t too much of a shock. The Xbox One features an eight-core 1.6GHz processor, 8GB of RAM, an 800MHz graphics processor and a completely revamped Kinect sensor. The console will go on sale in November starting at $500.
Saw the X1 at the microsoft store and damn that thing is big like the old xbox
